Looking in to donkey kong for the gameboy, because I saw a cloned snes cart with the super gameboy version of it.
I thought I go look for a snes rom that did the same thing. I did this knowing there is a way to play super gameboy games in retroarch already. But anyway.
Did not find any, but I found that someone is making a DX version. A looking even more in to it I found that there is several DX versions of different gameboy games.
Well, I understand the guy trying to get some money but it didn't seem to work very well
Anyways, after some crawling I didn't find a "free" version yet but found "live" links for this one:
EDIT: Eh no part 2
Also 3 weeks back, in a youtube comment the guy says

there is a much better hd pack for xenogears out now. google it, it is much smaller, and better than mine.
Seems he also didn't finish it

ya, the way square encrypted their games made it hell to do any texture work using the tech used to track, dump and replace textures. Normally every texture file is a 256x256 texture sheet with multiple textures on one sheet where the game references that one texture sheet. Thing is, in the psx era, squaresoft encrypted the info on the disks so that their competitors could not easily use their textures, models, ect ect ect.
This means, that when you dump sqauresoft games (it seems like xenogears is the most encrypted one, other square games you can access the texture and model files, but xenogears is really hard to get to all that stuff) , the dumped files are not 256x256 sheets, and the dumper literally captures each individual texture as a file. The real problem is, now instead of one texture file being used to texture multiple things, every single texture usage is a separate file instead of referencing one single texture file. So if I delete duplicate texture files, those objects no longer have the HD effect... so it is either half HD half not, or a large file size.
I basically gave up on this project because of that, I just released the work I had done in case anyone wanted to try it out. I am very sorry for the large file size, It used to be around 27gigs and I tried my hardest to lower file size without much notice change to the quality of the project. I could probably get it even lower, but like I said, I have given up with upscaling psx games

Can anyone test if the newest version (Nightly or whatever that they "recommend on using", even if it's a beta) have fixed this funny situation in VIEWTIFUL JOE? (Episode 5, 21:15)
ASUS X570 TUF GAMING PLUS, 32GB DDR4@2666 ,RYZEN 5800X3D (NO OC),GIGABYTE RTX 4070 Super GAMING OC, Western Digital Blue 4TB 5400RPM + SAMSUNG 860 EVO 500+1TB GB SSDs , OEM SATA DVD 22xNoctua NH-D15 Chromax Black, BenQ XL2420T Case: Be Quiet! DARK BASE PRO 901. PSU CORSAIR RM1200 SHIFT
I hope that lawsuit makes even more people aware of it and nintendoshit gets pirated even harder. And inspires people to do even better when the s(oy)witch 2 launches next year
