Directed by Stephen Frears and Jessica Hobbs and written by Will Tracy, The Regime tells the story of one year within the walls of the palace of a modern European regime as it begins to unravel.
First episode was meh, really flat. I dunno what they want to portray here. First episode was about the fact that the ruler is germaphobe but it was nothing, an overstretched gag.

Well it has Matthias Schoenaerts, so I'll give it a go. One of the writers from Succession as well. Apparently some of the humor falls flat, but in general it's good political satire.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

Not the first episode. There's a lot of allusions to real life politicians like Winslet is based on Thatcher. There's mausoleum with Lenin-like body of former ruler etc. It has a great cast but the pilot just didn't catch on for me.
