When the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second ice age.
Sony Pictures: Nostalgia milking activate! Mix the new generations enjoyment of the new team, with the older people's nostalgia for the 80's team. Two birds one stone!
Before even watching it seeing 'new and old must join forces', expected the horse beating of:
-Stay puft: check.
-Slimer jump scaring someone on the team: check
-Person of city authority telling team they are reckless and 'shut down': check.
-Someone making witty comments about that order to shut down: check.
-Team bucking the system and still doing it: check.
-Requotes of lines from the 80's: check.
-Ecto siren...: No check, surprised they left it out.

Actually, that's the same actor from the original movies.
That was my point
Movies need to stop grabbing shovels and digging up the graves of old cash cows, trying to get milk out of those now dried up corpse teets
- We need new movie ideas
- `member the 80's movies?
- Go on....
- Do that, again.
- Brillant! No way we can ruin a movie that lasted decades as a classic, by remaking it with the same actors 40+ years later but with modern throw away forgettable movie cliches and rehashing old catch phrases.

Who asked for this? How many expensive movies need to specactularly fail before Paul Rudd is once again relegated to retarded romantic comedy B-C movies?
