Whoever made this video should be shot. Mumbling voice over that's barely audible, then there's some mumbling song on the background, along with explosions over all of it. Great

The music is terrible. Ubisoft's approach to everything is take whatever is popular and throw it into the mix.
After putting 6 hours into the closed beta I was kinda disappointed that my progress got reset for the open beta. The good news is the open beta progress carries over when the game releases should I purchase it which I’m still undecided about. £70 seems a high asking price so I think I’ll see how the reviews pan out first.

Seriously, you are gonna play this.
Spend 3 hours in closed beta and just seeing the gameplay again makes me
This is no joke. This shit is so tedious I was feeling it in my stomach, like please no, I don't want to grind again in this generic piece of shit pirate game.
And then comes the relief: I don't have to. Never again do I have to play Skull and Bones.
"“People will really see how vast and complete that game is”, Yves Guillemot says"
I’m not sure. Saving £70 seems more appealing TBH.
I quite like the look of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, which releases 3 days before it so if the reviews are good and I like it, I’ll probably skip Skull and Bones.
I just finished AssCreed: Black Flag, with DLCs (never completed the main story on release), and while the game is still really nice, the naval combat isn't what makes it a great game. Sure, it's fun for a while, but also gets repetitive really quickly.
What I liked most about Black Flag is the freedom to sail around with your ship, exploring the little islands, finding treasure (maps) and so on.
Docking your ship and jumping off, walking around town/forests doing shit, and then returning to the seas, all smooth and without loading screens, really nice. Being able to get off your ship and walking around on land is crucial to this experience.
Newer installments never got that balance right. Odyssey got close, but then it suffered from the areas/islands being just too large so exploring becomes more of a burden.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
Just play Sea of Thieves, it's a fun little game for what it is ; even if things are kept quite simple, it's fun and managing the ship is rewarding - and I love its MI3-esque vibes
