ther pc version looks more like the xbox 360 version which looks great imho i saw something on tv about it today and they showed different movies from 3 versions of the game the PC the XBOX360 and the PS2 the pc version looked great to me dunno why people post a ps2 screenshot and start saying the pc version is gonna look shit..oh yea..no wait i do know why..because there's a percentage of people who post on forums who are anal dorks

hrmm i think san andreas is alot better than mafia. TBH mafia is a pretty linear game it just has a great story behind it. GTA:SA is so much more than a story, its an immersive gaming world. Just load up GTA:SA and stand still in an area and watch life just happen in the game. The sheer amount of things you can do in that game is just amazing. Mafia is a great game dont get me wrong i enjoyed it thru and thru but its not to the level of a game like GTA:SA.

Yes..they are different, and both are excellent games.
Though I enjoyed Vice City more than SA, GTA is still a great series.

Just played GodFather for some time on my PS2 on my big 41" screen (read those numbers backwards).
The game is great, the graphic actualy looks better than on screens..
Only thing that got sucky graphics are the cars.
And the handling on the cars are sucky sucky.

But the fighting / shooting system in this game is very nice and good.
One of the best I've seen Smile
The game is fun, but it'll probably be better on PC.
7/10 from me.

yep cant wait for the game reason I loved mafia was it was realistic and the graphics were realistic where as the GTA series games (which I liked too) was not so realistic and graphics wise was a bit lets say cartoonish not real graphics generated characters out in the street

comes out 28th here in Aust but 21st is it in US?? so hoping it might come on the net

does anyone know what protectioon it will have?? I really dont want to go into the cupboard and unplug drives every 2 hours of a day to play a game so id probaly buy it if its just simpel safe disk or what have you

The aiming on PS2 is actualy great.
Hold down L1 to lock on the target, and shoot with R1 or if you're close to the guy you can like beat him up different ways by moving the right stick.
Or you can move the left stick (while holding down R1 and L1) to slam him into a wall, throw him around etc.

I think there was 22 special ways to kill a man in the game.
And it's cool to "take over" stores.
Ask the store owner if he will be under your protection.
If he says no, then smash something in his store, or give him some punches, then he'll accept and understand that he needs some big protection Razz

And the game is very open.
Do the missions you want to do.
Do the side-mission when you want to do them.
Walk / drive around and chill whenever you want.

Only bad thing is the graphics on cars.
And the physics on them.

Let's hope the PC version will be moddable, so people can add more high poly cars.

oh and btw.
There's almost no loading on PS2, so I guess there's very little loading at PC.

to all the people that whines about godfather is looking bad and wont be a good game.. remember the game ia an 'open' game. a huge world with cars that drives much faster than mafia did. and the screenshots is console, pc will have the possibility to show more details. but again graphics isnt all. i surgest u all go to gamespot and watch the many in-game videos.

mafia on pc looked really good for a release of 2002
