Anyone seen or heard in a video if there’s aptx support in gaming mode this time?

Glad I sold my LCD deck when the prices were still close to retail, nowadays they dropped like a rock.

First drop was after they started selling refurbs, and now even the prices od unused LCD versions are lower so no one in their right mind will buy a used one for close to retail.

Even easier now since the oled version has metal threads. In the LCD version screws went directly into plastic.

Has anyone dabbled with the ROG Ally? I'm considering getting either a Steam Deck or the Ally over the holidays. Currently I'm swaying towards the Ally due to the increased power and OS.

Increased power is one thing, but the hell would you want bare windows 11+some dinky overlay instead of a system tailor-built for the machine?
If you want a low powered laptop just buy a low powered laptop.

That's not really a factor for me as Steam Big Picture can do the same job. There's also the option of other emulator front ends.
I would also be cautious about going with the OLED model as I've had a few OLED products that have suffered with screen burn. Therefore, the 120mhz screen on the Ally is appealing, too.

I would be cautious about it being OLED if it was some 2-bit company, or if it were from a company who are only investing in this space because Valve made it popular. Think of how often this happens from companies who abandon such things not long afterwards. 3D TVs, VR headsets, tablets, netbooks, smart watches etc.
I'd be wary as hell buying from the likes of ASUS until they're at least a few generations in and committed to it. Unless of course their machine had a crazy performance increase - but it doesn't.
Can't go wrong with SteamOS (purpose built), battery life and ease of use

I don't need steamDeck, I would glad something like Steambox for high end res and FPS streaming from PC to TV, I want 4k HDR,120hz support, thanks.
