That would be the most idiotic decision they could make. There is no way I would ever play through this slog a second time for a few differences, and I liked it.

I never play a game second time. I watch those differences on youtube.
in most games the difference is 5 minutes worth of cutscenes at best. Mostly it's 1-2 minutes.
Can't justify sinking so many hours for mostly the same twists when there is youtube.
Control's combat arenas are much more replayable than this one because that game's main focus is the combat. This one is not an action game. The arenas are pretty spread apart.
I shift deleted as soon as I got to the end.
Zero sense for NG+ on this title.. Repeat playthrough only work if there is an extended upgrade system, completely different game balance / unlock etc.
Most NG+ is YouTube the 5mins of content. RE's are kinda fun, upgrade weapons, speed run the game and alternate endings.
anyone using the new FSR3 mod for this one, there is a "fix" to reduce the ghosting issues
Quote:
To fix the ghosting in Alan Wake 2 with FSR3 frame gen enabled, you have to set m_bLensDistortion to false in AppData\Local\Remedy\AlanWake2\renderer.ini
After soldiering through the adventures of Alan Zane & Saga I can finally understand the general aversion towards the New Game+ mode, this truly isn't the type of experience that lends itself to being played twice. Despite all the annoyances however I found it interesting enough for an isoride offered by Sweeney and at the end of the day, the new rig was put to good use
The game is essentially a mix of adventure-sque walking sim parts and Alan Wake's signature lighten 'n pew all wrapped up in a rather repetitive mystery story, but it uses unique ways to play with visuals whilst morphing levels in real-time and merging 3D graphics with video overlays to produce trippy hybrid storytelling sessions. The advanced lighting and ability to render highly-detailed objects both definitely help as well, it is a pretty game with all the raybells and whistles on. The noninvasive interface is another positive, though (as always) a FOV tweak is required to overcome the couch effect.
There are moments of brilliance in it (the music video sequence, the hotel, all the various transitions), but also moments of boredom due to being subjected to mundane tasks (looking at you, psychic room!), as well as a few cringey ones for the sake of completeness. The game *loves* to drag things out unnecessarily and I wouldn't call the story good, but the presentation elevates the whole circus from an artistic perspective and makes it engaging albeit occasionally pretentious. Saga wasn't a terrible addition all things considered, if anything she comes across as a reasonable person despite the melodramatic dialogues. All in all, a masterpiece this Scratchy Wake 2 certainly is not, but I appreciated its approach which earns it about 7 Perkele Saataanas /10

Ooooooh nice, congrats. And specs?

Thanks, eventually I settled for the 13700k/4070/32GB DDR5(6000Mhz)/990 Pro and bought a 1440p monitor as well (27GP850-B) since I was still living in 2012 with my 1080p/60Hz
It devours all the games that I've thrown at it, except when enabling Full Path Tracing which requires some meddling and in some cases (like when visiting the woods in this game) the framerate drops are inevitable without gaining much in terms of visuals. Kurwapunk is more consistent, I actually can average ~70fps all maxed out as long as Nvidia's trickeries are enabled.
