Had a couple of hours and despite the AA jank and horrendous lip syncing, I’m quite pleased with the game and found it to be a rather fun time. It seems to follow the movie closer than I expected and is somewhat nostalgiatastic!
As a bonus, the puddles in this game have reflections that render just fine, and wouldn't you know it, RTX isn't necessary for that to be a feature!
Sure, but "just fine" isn't quite what RTX can do, though. There's a few rasterization methods to do reflections and all of them have compromises compared to RT.
I was more taking a jab at how, when the 20 series first launched, Battlefield One (that was coming out at the time as well) kept making a huge deal about Ray Tracing, and they kept pointing how a puddle of water perfectly reflected everything. Just found it funny, that's all.
Guess it may have to be one of those things you have to experience - but when I look at the side by side comparisons of all those RTX on vs. off screenshots - sure I see a bit of a difference here and there, it just never really seems worth the cost and performance difference. One day when I finally upgrade I guess I'll find out.

What a game, between turning goons into bloody paste you go shopping for a VHS tape, do the robot dance for a kid, give parking tickets and search for a missing cat.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty
Finished it in two sittings (15 hours or so, maybe closer to 20). Most fun I've had playing a shooter in a long time!
It really plays as the quintessential power fantasy - with very little filler and worthless fluff, which so many games (pretty much all) are full of now'a'days. It's backed up with a solid story and visuals along with a decent upgrade system. (though very few upgrade choices play into the conversations aside from Psychology and Engineering). Likeable characters whose stories are all wrapped up via outtro vids at the end.
8.5/10
Spykez would have loved this one.

Sorry, I haven't been here for a long time. I didn't want to entertain this thought after what you wrote. I feel very sorry for his family and friends. I remember from years ago when he wrote here 😪
Having good, honest fun with this one.
Nothing mind-breaking, just a fun, well-executed game that keeps you entertained while respecting the source material.
The perf are all over the place sometimes, some rarely-seen effects look a bit trash, but otherwise:
8/10 at <=30-35€
7/10 at current prices
Only real glitch I saw after several hours:

That's what some review states and I like it.
Simple fun and true to the lore? Fine for me.

The devs created no fanfare, didn't spin it like it would redefine not just the genre but the universe itself or some shit.
No, they set up a clear task and vision for themselves, and did a very good job achieving just that.
More of that mentality is needed in those dev studios.

I am also enjoying it in short bursts. Not complicated pew pew pew.
Same, I play it 2-3h at a time, and it's good like that.
What difficulty are you playing on? I'm on hard, and I feel like I should have gone for the hardest one outright. It's not super easy, but I've put my XP in anything else but combat, and I died maybe 3 times?

Great game. After Terminator: Resistance and it's DLC the dev's deliver again.
(We don't talk about the Rambo game)
Was that Terminator game good? I skipped it - didn't know it was by these guys. Might give it a go now.

It's hidden, raw, gem. Just like Robocop (I guess), good game without bells and whistles. Simple fun. Maybe a bit boring at the end a bit, but I had tons of fun.
Defenitly worth getting on some sale.
BTW I did these tweaks:

Ended up grabbing it...played the first mission so far. Could instantly tell it's by the same studio just by the menu layout. It's definitely harder being on the other side of the equation as a plain ole' meatbag rather than invulnerable robot man though!

The game will compile its shaders at startup, the first time. It doesnt show anything, no prompt. But the cpu shoots to 100%, runs hot, the menu stutters and runs at single digit fps. Leave it for 2 minutes until the computer fans start relaxing, the framerate recovers and its smooth gaming from then
Had me freaking out as well.
Performance seems markedly improved on my poor GTX 1080 compared to the demo - runs fine on max details FSR 2 Quality 75%.

If by RTX you mean ray tracing. Robocop does use ray tracing. (It's called "lumen")
Despite the signature low-budget-isms, repetitive mechanics and some extra-cheesy plot devices even for Robo, the game doesn't taste like baby food. It's a console pewpewer that comes from a different era (intended as a compliment) and does its honest thing while replicating the atmosphere of the franchise in a faithful way, which is almost refreshing in this day and age. I still wouldn't rate the gameplay higher than run-of-the-mill/10, but at least there was nothing particularly annoying in it - a slick isodemo-able experience.
Kudos to the devs for continuously improving their craft after Rambo which was meme material, I expect them to reach absolute greatness by the end of the decade. Now, you leave. Bitches, come!
