I was half way through the campaign and it felt disappointing. Took it slow on hardened difficulty, tried to explore/do things differently. Pretty weak, well below "normal" cod production values. Don't know how long I played but over two hours for sure, maybe even four.

Its because they believe people get bored if they don't innovate, and that's true. We have always complained about COD, BF, Assassins Creed etc never changing and always staying the same. Yet, they don't see to think through their changes.

That guy from bloomberg, forgot his name, was reporting some time ago that this year it was gonna be a DLC for last year's game, not a full release. That they were building on MW2. Then sometime over the moths they changed their minds. So this game was probably made under a ton of pressure and changes mid way through dev.
