good ol max payne was reader's choice for both game of the year and best graphics at ign. Can't disagree with either options, even if i'd maybe pick a different title. Surprising for ign back then, they had Undying as runner up for game of the year. Outstanding. And Ghost Recon winning. People care way too much about game launchers. You know what doesn't have any storefront? Fucking pirated games. I launch all my yarred games just via explorer or start menu, and you can do the same with purchased games. No need to go through the launcher except that initial install.
