Should i start phantom liberty as soon as it gets available or i should wait till the point of no return ? When it does make the most sense story wise ? (i have finished cyberpunk before if that matters)
finished phantom liberty and the new games ending, happy and sad ending for V at the same time, def a really good expansion and just makes me wanting a cyberpunk sequel more than a witcher one. curious what big star they will bring in the sequel, and really like this ideea of bringing movie actors and their faces into a game and be a big part of the game
I don't give a shit about openworld minigames and police combat, i havn't played a rockstar game since GTA Vice City i find them that boring.
I also don't care about the kind of bugs @inter's posting.
I've had this game since release, I think my total playtime is 1h. I think my problem is the openworld design, it means the AI and gunplay even without bugs will suck ass. Or maybe the Cyberpunk IP just doesn't do it for me? I'm not sure. Yeah unless the main quest is a masterpiece, I can't see myself installing this again. I also figure the main story isn't that polished (like in comparison to W3) given they couldn't even get the base game working for 2 years after release.
I think the main story is actually really good. I mean it was more then good enough to get me through on the initial bug ridden release, on my old rig where I had the infamous mirror crash and it was really a hassle to get through. Characters and dialogue in general are really good. The only game I'd say beats it when it comes to that in the last half a decade or so, at least for me is Read Dead Redemption 2.

It's not like police combat is great even for those who don't find it boring. It's nice that it's there now, but it's not a fully developed system. It's extremely basic. The fact they drop no loot when killed disincentivizes even getting into tangles with them.
Play it if you like:
Fights that can be solved different ways
Lots of combat methods (melee, throwing, guns, hacking)
Lots of driving
Preem graphics
Lots of narrative based content
People that look like humans - including attractive females (no kidding!)
Chasing the next best thing (weapons, hacks, cars)
Being a ninja!
When I first started playing, after the ~3 year wait, I hated the combat. I thought Starfield's weapons felt punchier, but then you get to a point where it just clicks and it's fun going around decimating gangs, one after the other
The bugs I am posting by themselves aren't an issue, it's the fact that there are so many. It is the sum of many bugs that ruin an otherwise very immersive and beautiful experience.
Yep. Game is buggy as fuck still, but thankfully I haven't run into anything gamebreaking yet just these weird spawning stuff and clipping stuff, as well as getting shot through walls with cyber phase bullets and cyber laser sights. Doing the PL stuff now after getting main story up to before Embers.
The changes to the perk tree has made combat more enjoyable and I've actually decided to run a sandevestan when in my previous playthrough at launch was just all remote hacking. But I hear the changes to remote hacking has greatly improved the experience so I might try that on a later PL only start.
Anyway, people keep going on about cyberpsycho's but I think the real cyberpsycho is my V who when he sees a yellow icon on top of group of people will just walk up, slow down time, and slice all of them up even if they aren't the "attacks when you enter their radius" type of yellow icons.
who? you mean people play it but it still can be buggy? i don't play it since i expect at least one more patch, probably more.
For Witcher 3 i waited years(3'ish?) after release, so i pretty much played the final version (but not really since it was actually updated again rather recently). Had a great experience, big DLC's etc
I am a diplomatic, pacifist, silenced pistol gentleman, but... it's so damn satisfying(!!!111) pushing them back (down on the ground) with a huge shotgun blast and then punch them in the face till they drop for good...
I have NEVER been able to do this in any other game...
Yea, pure gameplay is so much fun. And bugs? For fuck's sake, show me a game without bugs. Are there still bugs in C2077? Yes. But first of all, they are really rare and second of all, they are in no way a detriment to enjoying this game If you want to play it, play it now and don't listen to nitpickers - it's in a great shape!
people post bugs and issues every hour almost, month after month.
You can also check No Man's Sky forums if you want to see people posting bug after bug.. yet i play that game from time to time, i'm having a great time, never ran into any real issues with it. if you would just go by the forum and read the posts, well, there's a high risk you would say to yourself that the game is totally unplayable and you wouldn't even want to try it.
This isn't news to anyone who plays games that every game that exists has bugs. Doesn't mean there are tons of people having a good time and without any real issues. And it also doesn't mean there isn't a shit ton of people with issues, because there clearly is, there always is.
I made 2 examples. one new game and one really old game, older than CP... if you read the forum, you'd be hard-pressed to find a single positive comment about that game. Yet if you read the reviews, or check the score, hmm, people are very happy... Same with this game.
If it truly was super, super buggy, there's zero chance people would give it a Very Positive. You'd have review bombing, because it's happened before for this exact game and it would absolutely happen again. It happened to NMS at the start too because well, it was in a shitty state, people didn't have fun.
A new enormous patch + DLC, i would never play a game directly after that again, sometimes i think you're new to PC games. While i think many people (maybe most, looking at current score etc) can be lucky to not run into something super serious, it's really not the best time to play it. Replay Witcher 3 perhaps
Been playing Sprawl today, really good Cyberpunk boomer shooter if you like the Ninja aspects of CP2077 i bet.. wall jumping, bullet-time, katana and dismemberment
Damn, if we instead could get this many System Shock 2 and Deus Ex-clones instead... i do like shooters but there's a big black void to fill here, not so much for shooters exactly these days.. just way easier to make i guess..
I highlighted the many bugs in BGIII after Act I the same way I have here, but being buggy this early on is more than understandable. They also didn't overpromise and underdeliver. I have played NMS for a total of maybe a few hours over the years and have no opinion on its issues. Even if I started now, it'd be the same shit, eg: I don't care, and 'I don't consider those bugs!'. But I already stated that people have a double standard with games they like vs those they don't like as much, glad we seemingly agree on something.
I won't post another comment about bugs, but if people are going to say things like 'the game is in a great state' when main quests can still be broken the same way as in 2020, or the myriad of bugs that have gone unresolved, then fuck it.

Bear in mind that Cyberpunk is a buggy game with jerky animation transitions and physics that are prone to clipping. This mod adds no scripts (I can't code at all, in fact) and only changes some pre-existing values in the ragdoll settings through WolvenKit.

A blood one that still works in 2.0, which I will be using:
Yeah, it's like CDPR just decided to give up on the bugs. As mentioned previously, that sick/glitch UI bug still exists even though modders have already fixed it.
At first, I was hoping some of these were addressed because they fixed T-posing fat lady at the club.
She used to always be T-posed in previous playthroughs.
But then I got to the tutorial and they still haven't fixed the last parts with the dummy being broken.
This guy will either constantly dodge when he's supposed to get hit, and will also constantly dodge when he's supposed to attack you so you can dodge. You can push him into a corner to try and make him attack but when he does and you dodge, it doesn't register, so you end up stuck in the tutorial and have to reload to skip it.
Person sat at the curb outside the motel is still sitting on air, and I think they've been doing that since release.
The club in that quest where you investigate the boyfriend/manager's alleged cheating still has it so that the game thinks it's closed even though it's night and is open so you can't really beat it unless you reload a save to before you leave the place you got the quest from and skip time to evening / fast travel to the club to see if it bugged this time or not.
These guys turned to chickens as I apporached. Their hands started to get tangled behind their back and they started walking funny. I found it amusing tbh
Oh and your ride still at times spawn from the sky when you summon it, so like a proper summon then kek. But it can also spawn inside buildings, or randomly get treated as having been destroyed even though you did fuck all so it just doesn't come to you when you call it.
It's unfortunate that these bugs will never get fixed, but I suppose thanks to the changes to 2.0, I've been having fun and am less whingy as I was on launch. Also, probably because Starfield is the most recent title I can compare this to, I find things to be way better and more fun lol
Can confirm that the sitting on air bug was there at the game's release. Shit, on the nomad start there was a guy sitting on air in the middle of the road with another guy siting on top of him
Wonder if bumping crowd density down to medium helps that in any way, but I won't be testing it for now.
