I'm not playing it seriously, just running around checking out graphics, it might be the right way to "play" it currently Laughing Big patch means big fixes, usually. Every big NMS patch for example, worthless to play when those comes out, you wait for ~2 fix-patches.

Anyone getting this bug with pathtracing? You'll probably need to watch full screen max quality

Happens on a few different metal surfaces. As soon as pathtracing is disabled it goes away.

It’s not a exactly a bug. It’s from the denoiser. Hardware limitation vs running in real time. RR greatly improves this. The fences in the first PT implementation patch1.63 were horror town with all the flickering/shiny dancing pixels now greatly improved even with the standard denoiser.

Also why not reflect the character with RT on? The shadow's there Confused

Because the character animations look like a clownshow in anything but 1st person. It’s been discussed multiple times. Just look at your shadow while sprinting.. i mean.

But with RR on, the wall moves around like it's alive, it's very unnatrual. Regular RT is better than that IMO

No big deal, and someone on Steam forums explained it in detail:

Yep, upsides vs downsides depending on what bothers you most.

Personally i can’t go back from PT to simple RT / raster even with all the visual artifacting… the way that everything is lit correctly especially NPCs with no light leaking through hats/clothes or in general parts of interiors beats everything else for me.

Weren't they also supposed to implement 3rd person view somewhere along the way from the release until now?

Bleh. Mine keeps crashing at startup once I install the DLC. I've redownloaded from GOG twice now. Uninstalled everything and started from scratch, too. Still no go. Downgraded video drivers as well since I read this has helped some people. Nada for me. Crashes during one of the initial logos/warnings in the beginning. Not sure what else to do at this point. I've never used any mods before either so there's nothing to clean up in that regard.

Oddly enouigh, if I don't install the DLC, it starts up fine.

I think they were going to do the 3rd person view when they would have been forced to have it for the Multiplayer part of the game since you would be seeing everyone running around and they needed the excuse for people to spend real money on clothes but since that got scrapped so did the 3rd person view.

I'd delete this folder too when uninstalling, not sure the uninstaller does that..

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red

and also the installation folder itself, in case it has some old mod or whatever, the uninstaller will leave that usually.

are you on AMD?

Nvidia GPU, AMD cpu. I removed those directories you mentioned, too. No luck.Just makes a new crashreport.json file in the appdata folder when attempting to launch again. It's weird as everything seems to checkout, version wise. No additional updates from GOG or anything showing, either.

I did see in an article that there were one or two other ways to do it, but this is the most common from what I found. I'm currently around this questline but haven't decided if I'm going to start it yet.

Thanks. I'm still faffing about with the gigs, and I do like the new skill tree as it's made things more fun.

Lots of environmental stuff to use for sneaky, trolling, stealth gameplay.

I like how some guns (most of them, actually) are now broken. They automatically are picked up as Tier (x) crafting components.

For anyone getting back into this now that the expansion is out:

1. Add this argument to the Steam launch parameters (or the end of your yarred desktop shortcut): --launcher-skip -skipStartScreen

2. Throw the file from this mod into its corresponding game directory - https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/533?tab=files

These two things combined drastically reduce the time needed to be in your game from launch - from about 45 seconds down to about 5.

Can't fucking stand developers that don't respect the player's time.

It's funny how you can detonate propane tanks, kill several enemies - yet nobody bats an eye. But as soon as you quickhack a guy via synapse burnout and kill him, a timer starts because apparently one specific enemy, out of the dozens left, three miles away, apparently took notice (despite not being a netrunner enemy).
