Nvidia monkey paw no ray reconstruction is not 4xxx cards only but it's locked behind path tracing which runs like shit on anything not able to generate fake frames to compensate sigh dunno what i was even expecting.

Why would you want it? It makes my 165hz monitor feel like some cheap ghosting panel. Ghosting everywhere. And:
Look at the female cop's face + the cook on the right. Everything looks unnatural when it's on.
Hehe, that's the thing with AI models working with a shitty ass resolution to begin with, they just fill in the smudge with whatever they think is good and it ends up being an artifact fest.
I can't play most games with DLSS on, it just looks like shit and I only see artifacts and ghosting everywhere.
Your screenshots do look jarring and unnatural - although the "On" version has better quality detail (faces are better defined and the grid in the background is a lot clearer). Both kinda look bad either way, though

Oh I know the devs take it seriously, they get to get paid by nvidia, spend less work on actual development and performance fixes and in return the only thing they have to do is suck some dick in promo materials.
yup, check the answer at 15:55
adding path tracing or ray construction or whatever is fine and dandy by me as long as they also take care of the basic shit like optimization and scalability
Nvidia is here trying to make real time "real" raytracing work with playable frame rates, what you guys are crying? You don't need to enable it. Im not trying to defend here Nvidia, but bashing it because you can't run it is just retarded, also those videos with 300% zoom and slow motion pixel by pixel shit is retarded, you can't run this stuff without these kind of technologies, most of the stuff you are not going to even notice when you are actually playing normally, games have shit loads of visual glitches without RT on these days aswell.

Basically, they should not have been running this DLSS-beta test that doesn't need users for years on end. The technology is immature at best and it's now becoming the bandaid a lot of devs will fall upon instead of optimizing. Now you know why we're crying.
To each his own, if you're very happy we can't run games natively any more and just need to squint our eyes a little to ignore the obvious ghosting and artifacts smearing the screen, all the power to you dude.

Developers have not been optimizing their shit for ages now. Also im far from happy that I need to use every single black magic AI stuff on the most expensive card money can buy for gaming.
Performance in Overdrive is pretty rough on my 3080. ~30-50fps on 4K DLSS Performance. No way I'm playing without it, though. The old RT is a clear step back and rasterised lighting just looks ancient.

it crashes 9/10 times i go from benchmark back to main menu, or from a game
It looks good, maybe apart from the lighting which i often think looks fake inside the city, it's extremely dark during the day, but sure those big buildings does block a lot of light i guess.
Gonna be interesting to see it in HDR again once i receive my replacement monitor, thought it looked way better on the coolermaster than on this asus with poor black level and no HDR..

Something is wrong there. Either RR is indeed busted or something on your end. They were especially ‘proud’ of how much better faces would look. Also the rest looks worse and blurrier which again should not happen and can be seen in all videos how RR makes everything sharper as well. Is it PT without RR vs PT with RR or RT normal without RR sv PT with RR in your pics?

If you disable DLSS in game and enable it will resetted.
Yeah this works benchmark shows it as enabled as well, but it looks and runs worse then without it for me so yeah there is no point to it atm it really seems to be optimized for path tracing only and even there it looks a bit shit at times.
I could... /sigh ... you know... lend you some money so you can buy this damn game (I got it for 20 USD on Gamivo or HRK iirc).
It's totally worth it, friend! 👍
Heh funny more like different prios, using cp2077 more like looking at the pretty graphics than playing the game. Plus too much money burnt on recent releases which i’ll never play again ( diablo4 premium ..) just not worth it imo.

This game, is a very cool story-driven action game with RPG elements. 100% 'wab' on discount.
But it's still not that... special open world, highly interactive, immersive-sim game that I hoped it to be.
Honestly CDPR was always bad at making open-world games. They make great story driven AAA RPGs as you said and that's about it.
Personally i don't really mind since that's exactly what i want from an RPG but i never really liked open world games all that much anyway.
