More than 10 years have passed (perhaps 15 if we consider my original account), I assume some old members have already left or died.
I liked this forum, but after so many bans which in my view were unjustified and uncalled for, I sort of became angry with it. |

To be honest that was a lifetime ago and I don't remember the specifics of each ban, I remember only the perspective that I had at the time.
But as far as I my memory accuretely remembers those days, I was accused of derailing threads and conversations with unrelated topics, which in my view were not unrelated at all. Merely addressing a more fundamental layer of the underlying topic.
To give you an abstract example, in a discussion about biology, "diverting" into physics is not derailing, not in my view at least. Or to go one step further, everything tangible is physics in the end, so diverting any topic towards physics can never be considered derailing.

I'm not a prideful person, and I truly appreciated this community, after all this time, if I had an inkling of an idea that I wasn't wronged, I would have conceded or apologized years ago. In my view a philosophic remark about a news event or world affairs discussion can never be considered derailing.

It's not all bad though, more than a decade away from here and only one regular got beaten by time, that's an awesome survival rate!

Well, if I remember correcto, the purpose of this post was primarily to insult belief, all forms of faith and belief that most people have on a daily basis about the most diverse array of topics, habits and lifestyle choices.
And in a very real sense the concept of opinion and belief is already a self insulting aspect of cognition.

Well, I didn't leave, I was gently guided towards the door and given a good old kick in the rear 
But the fact that you know who I am already proves that you're an old lurker. Either that or was I used as a meme afterwards. 
I came back not because of game releases but more to the fact that I became nostalgic and remembered some of the old times here.
Nevertheless I trust that there might be a few trigger happy fellows with their hand on the ban button as we speak. So have no idea how long I might last.

Speaking as a Dasein with a body with organs, belief in itself overcomes cognition in itself. Even the in itself in itself is mere poop compared to the in-in itself of the absolute in itself.

Any scientific theory for example, science cannot prove truths, the scientific method can only demonstrate falsehoods.
There is a difference between believing in general relativity and considering general relativity as consistent model.
Any object, concept or statement that requires belief is always wrong. At the very least if it requires belief, its premises are poorly defined.

In many scenarios demonstrating a single falsehood proves an unequivocal truth:
All blargs are red.
Someone finds a blue blarg.
Therefore it is true that not all blargs are red.

Belief is a necessary experience for non-omniscient beings. |
What truth have you proven with your example?
Quite the opposite really, the assumption that people had that all blargs were red was then falsified, and now blargs can be at least blue or red. There is no absolute truth that you can derive from that, only a continuous process of elimination of falsehoods, a never ending triage if you will.
Regarding your second statement, that is false, I for one live my life without having a single belief about anything, and if anything I am more crystalized and objective that most of the people I ever came accross.
And now you are going to say that I believe in the laws of physics, or in the mechanics of my cars, or in the infrastructure of the internet, or that when I flip the switch the light will turn on.
I believe in nothing, all I have is a previous experience that everytime I did X, Y happened, but I don't believe it, I don't have an expectation that reality will always behave the same way solely because it has always operated in a certain way in the past.
