So it seems that you can actually travel by ship to other planets, it just takes hours to do so. A streamer went to Pluto in 7 hours. At least one thing that wasn't a creative lie.
I don't think so, planets are worldbox in flight. You can't get closer to them in your ship. The space travel is so poorly implemented just fast travelling by a static map would have been the better option.
You are right, I watched the clip. It just gave me hope that modders might have an easy time to fix the game.
Sure, this would be tough to mod into the game because they haven't built a proper space sim into the game. It would be better to mod the space combat out of the game and reduce loading screens.
I mean at least your ship serves as storage (which again they poorly implemented), and a mobile crafting station.
Or they could have taken the star control / mass effect approach to space travel.. honestly just really strange decisions on fundamental game design with this one. I would have made a very different game more akin to Mass Effect personally.
In fact all-in-all Mass Effect 1 is a better than this game in every aspect, even it's combat vs. BethFPS..
Getting legendary gear after a few hours at level 5 seems poor as well. No point even unlocking weapon crafting etc. as legendary guns and armour come equipped with good mods.
I forgot about that. I got a legendary rifle in the first outpost I explored. Makes no damn sense
Well atleast i solved my freezing problems and got to try it a bit.
Seems it doesnt like older Cpu's, it spikes regularly to 100% cpu usage and freezes the computer. Used battle encoder shirase to limit the cpu usage and it works fine.
Very uneven graphically though, some things look good, others horrible.
The biggest gaming site in Norway gave it a 7/10, with a follow up article bashing Bethesda for once again letting modders fix their game.
A brave new age of cracling mods. Fuck him and his bullshit. There is a free DLSS one on nexus but I guess his includes frame gen for 40 series owners.
It looks like quite a few good mods have come out over the past few days as well. But it's the worst time to mod a Bethesda game, early on, as patches are likely going to keep fucking them up
I think the biggest issue is that we've gone from open world games to this chopped up shit.
The best parts of FO/TES (or any open world game, really) is going from A > B and finding things along the way. But now A > B is in 100,000,000 pieces, the map is shit and nobody knows where the pockets of real content are amongst the procedural offal.
It should have been one massive world (eg: some very civilised non-earth planet), like always, and then the 100,000,000 pieces you can fly off to from there. At least until they can be bothered to do space travel & exploration properly.
yes my favorite streamer Az went viral hahaha, too funny i came right into the stream when he was raging (he's been playing it since launch so i watch it sometimes)
