I'm sure I will be playing a shitload of hours of this, just not yet. I was holding on starting to play something else from my backlog to check the state of this release, well... I think the facts speak for themselves I'll just let the based modders do their thing and improve this failed aspirant to a 2023 Triple-A game.
Now I just have to decide which open world game to start instead, Elden Ring or RDR2?

[*]Instanced everything. From simple buildings to the interiors of small outposts in the middle of nowhere. Going from planet surface > ship > ship pilot seat > space > area > out of ship - all with fades or loading screens... this shit belongs in the past.
This destroyed my will to play as well, i managed to get as far as new atlantis, where i had to go into yet another loading screen by taking the tram. Fuck it.
and here i am, literal invisible space ninja, not been to atlantis yet really liking all the weapons so far, although playing on hard the enemies are still annoyingly tough.. tempted to drop it but i also don't want to roll everything effortlessly.
does feel a shit ton like i'm playing 76, so i wouldn't get starfield if you don't like fallout 3/4/76.
I saw it mentioned that if you enter the console to mess around with stuff, the game will flag all your saves as modded, even those made before you entered the console. So just a heads up for anyone that cares about that sort of thing.
I have Game Pass, so I will just give it a try on Tuesday but I really do not see myself playing it much till I finish Baldurs Gate 3 and then I might have to finally play through Cyberpunk with the fabled new patch to see if it fixed a lot of my old annoyances from launch. As much as I like space games, there is just something that feels off with Starfield and it could just be that its Fallout on the moon but it is probably I just am getting tired of the same old Gamebryo look and feel of repeated over an over again now.
Man, what a waste of a download. I played until I got the ship, walked in the opposite direction of the quest, it turns out there's no problem killing enemies 7-9 levels above you Got some legendary item, found a cave, exited to desktop, deleted.
I didn't have any expectations for this and I was still let down
Also the dialogues are beyond retarded.
And no usable map

My trusty 2060s plays this on medium very well, around 50-60 FPS. PQuality isn't too much different than streamers with beefy 4090 cards. Color filter needs to go ASAP. Loading times are short albeit prone to coitus interruptus. Gameplay seems fine at the moment, although space piloting and space combat can suck my d**k. What were they thinking... a mixture of the worst space sims with no specific controls and a drifting boat simulator. NASTY.
Will keep playing just for the fix I need since finishing New Vegas three times in a row early this year.

Whatever you choose, you're in for a great ride. They have flaws/limitations but the pros vastly outweigh the cons and both experiences are memorable with their completely different formulae.
They're actually complementary: RDR2 for the art of relaxing through harmless exploration and the well-written story missions where you always have the upper hand, Elden Ring for the constant challenge where everything in the virtual world is engineered to murder you in the most creative and stressful way

tbh this seems like a mediocre game to me. nowhere near the impact any of the elder scrolls games had. this might be forgotten as fast as F76 or F4. Modding scene might do the expected nsfw mods and thats about it. Skippdy skip for now maybe game pass after i finish bg 3.
It feels and plays exactly like Outer Worlds. The writing is of course sub par.

This application allows players to listen to the breathtaking in-game music
of Starfield, composed by Inon Zur, and view early concept art of the game.
For the mens well into it: Are there any non goofy (non-astronaut is more like it) decent looking armors in-game? Really dislike the stock looking astronaut armor
