Larian's humor I guess...
They made patches for EA. Now they make for Release and started from 1 again.
Not counting in hotfixes.

Ending, real spoiler if you haven't finished it.
Spoiler: |
So I don't use ilithid powers the entire game, get forced into decision where the only remote good path is to turn main char into mindflayer, ya the endings just not as good as the first two acts.
Lol never found misnc, well there was one encounter then never saw him again, the mage quest completely bugged out so no idea if there was anything good involved there either.

Minsc is in Spoiler: | the sewers.
You can get to the hideout via the sewers, or outside entrance.
The best decision imo is to convince Orpheus to become a mindflayer. The githyanki are weakened, but the fight against the Lich Queen goes on.
|
I finished all quests, no problems.

lmao.. well im done with this game:
Spoiler: |
The ending in general is pretty bad. Yeah I took the hit / mindflayer option, the alternative is pretty much screwing the lae'zel story path, leaving them leaderless etc. I just think no good option whatsoever really.
The ending as mindflayer is kinda funny, especially the obligatory forced romance that happens now your converted to a mindflayer, all the ending is so cliche, jarring and cringe. If you romanced
shadowheart she recommends you wear a mask, or pretend to be a leper, then effectively exiles you from humanity
so I guess your better off just taking the suicide option for your ending
Yep thanks Larian

That sounds like a personal problem.

@AmpegV4
Spoiler: | You can make Karlach do it if she's in your party. Her good endings got cut anyway - she either dies or has to go to Avernus, no way to fix her heart.
I think Orpheus "sacrificing" himself is fitting and better for Lae'zel as she gets two dragons and a mission to free her people. You can even convince him to live in exile instead of dying.
And as for for Orpheus - he is a massive twat anyway so fuck him and the evil Githyanki. |
In general the last act is a mess. It's clear they had much more stuff planned but had to just put together what was ready with very rough stitches.

Well he seems ike a decent sort, but he's also Spoiler: | the son of a powerful warrior-queen, who wanted to set fire to the Spheres.
No way an I letting him rejoin the githyanki.
Maybe if he was a descendant of Zerthimon I'd make a diff...no, nope, eff this. Githyanki or githzerai, they get the tentacles |

I swear there was something off on the storytelling around Orpheus:
Spoiler: |
Unless I'm confused, At one point I was certain the Githyanki and Orpheus were hell bent on fulfilling the grand design? Yet once you break him free because fuck trusting that mindflayer guy, he's 100% onboard and ready to take down the netherbrain?
Also not using the tadpoles should have had some consequences.. that was a huge letdown, It's pretty clear from the first 2-4 hours that MindFlayers are bad news, no fucking way im infecting my characters with that shit.
|
I really liked the story-telling up to Act 2's ending they really built that character up, the showdown satisfying and some mysteries revealed was satisfying. The final act major bosses were a bit let down for me.
Spoiler: |
Adding the memberberry Serevok was meh and took away from making Orin a more interesting character. I hate recycling pivotal characters from previous games personally, this is your chance to make your own stories / characters etc. its a cop out.

I know, I chose for him to be turned into a squid.
The Emperor Spoiler: | does not betray you, but letting him eat Orpheus' brain makes the space iguana sad, so it's a no go. |

Uhh, dude, you are completely wrong. Spoiler: | They're hell-bent on stopping the Grand Design, which is the Illithids plan to conquer everything and rebuild their empire. |

Wow fuck me, 20 hours after i Spoiler: | had Laezel sit in the de-worming machine at the creche | i noticed she gets -2 CON -2 WIS and -2 INT lmao. Apparently not reversible.
Finished Act1 after 35 hours. Having quite a bit of fun though haven't gotten used to the audio, Laezel and Shadowheart are especially rough on my ears.

It is much better, but still sometimes dialogues make my ear bleed, when sound quality changes with every sentence...

No save file editor to "fix" stuff like that? That or easily editable saves (though I guess with the number of choices you have in the story that save file might be a nightmare to edit).

I'm, idk, 15h in? Just arrived at Grymforge.
Except for the INFURIATING habit of co-pc to just run head first in identified traps/visible hazards, even if instructed otherwise, it's a pretty good game.
Not world-shattering, but I'm enjoying the ride so far. Not worth 60 though, I'll buy it when 1.0 at a discount.

But yeah, not a question of money but value. I'm not paying full price for a house where the kitchen consists of a hotplate.
PS: wtf? I love Kinguin, but sometimes their deals are retarded
And yeah, this whole sex BS is just PR so far. I've shut down everyone immediately, and so far never had to bend over backwards to avoid this waste of time.
Sex is a thing in any universe, which is totally OK when well written, and I honestly only saw vague mentions of it, except for
Spoiler: | the hobgoblin or whatever fucking an ogress in a barn. Laughed because of his fucked up facial animation, and the comment that went "yeah, let's forget that ever happened" the moment the fight was over.
Pretty silly, but yeah, it got a smile out of me |

Ya tbh I was done when I finished the game, I don't think it needed more content / length just polishing what was there. I.e you could have removed halsin as a follower and just finished Karlach etc.

I didn't get halsin as a companion since I didn't do the quest required to get him. I'm in act 3 still plenty to do in this game. A definitive edition with more content would be even better. But as it stands this game has fattened me up with content as it is.
I'll def replay it as the worst guy ever at some point. This playthrough is the dark urge half assing his way to redemption.
