That 10 euros seem reasonable rn. Is The Pitt Recruitment an expansion with new quests and zones? Or just couple of items and a faction? I also though the game was given for free somewhere but don't find it in my Steam and EGS library. Guess that was just for few days.

Tbh i have not bothered with The Pitt so far. But i think its mostly skins and I do know the Fusion Core Recharger comes with it (which is nice). It's a new faction called The Responders i think.

Edit: Bought it to check it out. It's pretty much what i thought it would be, no idea where to find The Responders - but im sure i will find it later on Smile

I've been playing Batman Arkham Knight which I reinstalled after nearly 8 years when I finished the main story (and watched the Knightfall Protocol on youtube cause I couldn't be arsed to complete 100% of the Riddler stuff Laughing).

I bought all the story DLCs during the recent Steam summer sale.

It's truly amazing how this 8+ year-old game could perfectly have been released in 2023 and still be a GOTY contender, the way it looks and plays.

Aliens Dark Descent

Its been a wild since I played one till the end.
Probably because:
1 The mouse clicks per minute required are low for a modern tactical/RTS
2 It´s tight with the movies

+1!!!!!

not for me, i decided to not return to it after about 2-3 hours of gameplay, maybe i'll get back to it with the 60 fps mod in a couple weeks though, definitely wasn't bad.

and now i'm playing shadow empires, clocked about 60 hours over the weekend (hell of a weekend Laughing )
turn times used to be absolute shit in this game with 5 minutes of waiting between turns entirely possible (for fucking what, this AI cheats hard anyway), but now the game is actually playable with my new 5800x3d.
it's either the new cpu or they actually fixed the damn game itself Laughing got it on the steam sale Very Happy played the pirated version a couple years back, but those turn times were unplayable and the price combined with that was stupid.

also playing a lot of singleplayer tarkov, 120 fps for this game is fucking sweet Laughing
been running 60hz for a decade now Rolling Eyes huge increase in general visibility using freesync/2k/120+. being able to aim perfectly thanks to no stuttering and the other usual tarkov hijinks is also nice.
it's great just being able to play tarkov without all the cheating shitters that usually infest it, although the mods are a required for improving the AI to a fun level.

Completed some turn based games:

Miasma Chronicles - I never really got into Mutant Year Zero, and while this one has similar mechanics, it has a better story, I thought.

Dungeon of Neheulbeuk - was free on the Epic store, and quite enjoyable (I finished it, at least Very Happy ). Humor is not for everyone, although it has its moments. Gameplay doesn't offer much new to the table, but what it does, it does so competently.

"Top Must Have August 2023 New Games"

how are they a "must have" when he's even laughing out loud and saying it doesn't look like a good game (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, for example).

He could tune down the clickbait just a notch, if he can't even keep to the script Laughing

Gonna play the Halo games since i never really did (just tried one of the later ones, maybe 3 or 4?), well, until i get too tired of it...
might not even make it through the first (so far it's been good).

Bought the master chief collection (for 9 euro, which seems decent).

Fishing Planet. Laughing

Surprising in-depth and 'realistic' for fishing sim.

At least as far as in the fish I do know fishing for in real life. I assume the ones I don't know are just as good.

The right rod setup with appropriate line weight and reel, along with the right lure, retrieved the right way: bei you dfo straight, jigged, stop and go, water top dragged, or depth of lure below the surface techniques.
Along with fishing the right 'locations' with all that: Near lily pads, lure pulled near but not on bottom, with rapala lure or rubber worm for LargeMouth Bass for example.

Makes a big different on the amount of quality of that fish you get.

Just finished NFS Heat, while it's a midiocre game it's the best NFS in a looong time, the sense of speed when sprint racing 380km/h through traffic while being chased by 5 star cops - that's why I loved it, without the nigt racing it would be bland and boring af.

Started Mafia 3 for the 3rd time, maybe this time I'll actually finish it. The driving and shooting mechanics are solid and the sountrack is A tier (was craving that after horrible NFS music).

Atlas Fallen - played for a couple of hours and it's surprisingly good so far, I racommend checking it out if nothing else grabbed your attention.

Witchfire

Beautiful art direction, great atmosphere, and a pretty hard game. It's a roguelite extraction shooter set in a dark fantasy setting with guns and magic.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint

Gave the free trial a go, loved it, and since you can currently get a key for it dirt cheap, I have bought it. Looking forward to wasting at least 200 hours on it. Very Happy If anyone still plays this, drop me a PM, maybe we can team up some time for a bit of co-op tacticool action.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands

A substantially different game from GR:BP, but not a bad one. A bit too much Far Cry game mechanics for me. Some say it's better than its successor, but I beg to differ. Also, the AI teammates suck.

Duke Nukem (using Raze). i first installed some version (Polymer) which makes the game use 3D models, hi-res textures, new lighting.. My god, that looked horrendous! No, i want my pixelated, gritty Duke, thanks!

Btw, Steam version is so shit, the controls were super floaty and garbage, don't play that version, download Raze over the Steam version if you're gonna play it.

The level design is just glorious

This is so much better than Doom 1-2 imo, though it certainly has its charm too.

Dead Space Remake - I wasn't so convinced at first, the graphics are not exactly up to date and the performance and UI are annoying. But Dead Space was a fantastic game and the Remake does justice to it.

RE4make DLC: Was excellent. I usually never bother but Capcom's DLC's at least for village and this were really good.

Songs of Syx v64: Best builder / Sim at present imo.

Will also pickup the Ion Maiden expansion that just came out.
