Is there a mod to make this game more challenging?. Wanted to play this one so badly but I was discouraged after the first or second mission when I realize you can basically walk around and shoot every enemy in the face without losing half of your HP
Just use a pad and disable all assists like I did, makes shooting missions difficult alright
Some missions are somewhat challenging with a pad.. but yeah, it becomes trivial with a mouse.
It's not a gameplay-intensive game really, the missions design and such is unfortunately its weakest point by far ;it's much more of a contemplative experience of sorts (picking flowers).
I've yet to finish it at 150+ hours, no idea how the hell I spent such a crazy amount of time on it doing basically jackshit and all missions when I felt like it (didn't do the challenges or the collectible stuff, only incidentally so). Don't regret it one bit though !

Thx!, I will give those a try. I'm already playing it with a controller and all assist off, it might just not be the game I would like to "play" right now.
2/10 game doesn't require you to piss, shit, sleep every few gameplay minutes/ingame hrs and enemies don't have 60000000hp health bars on top of their heads that you need to grind and upgrade weapons for 60000hrs to be able to make a dent in their eyeballs. They die with a single headshot... shit game I sure do enjoy it when the most mundane of tasks in a video game waste a lot of my real life time to achieve.
The OG game still looks good to this day, just needs some new textures and a proper resolution that isn't Xbox PS360p and I'll take it. Anything more than that is a cherry on top esp if it's in RDR2 engine.
One of our most sought-after UAPs on PC is finally getting some juicy whistleblowin' action, let's hope for the best possible outcome. Since emulation/no M&KB will never be a viable option for me, any version would make me a happy panda at this point provided that it works as intended and comes in iso form

Yes, for a 2010 game, with simple geometry, LOD, rudimentary animations and simpleton lighting techniques. Slapping high resolution textures and increasing render resolution does not magically make a game look better. In fact, it just acts as a magnifying glass for all the graphical shortcomings, whereas on a small screen with a low resolution, a lot more can be forgiven.
So no, it doesn't look good. Just compare RDR1 and 2. All RDRR needs to be is a port of the map and scripts to the RDR2 engine, and I'd be very happy.
The fucking interface in this game... several buttons used for picking up something, also for some things its holding down a button, sometimes it's a quick press. I actually like everything about the game apart from the horrible interface.
Often it's not even correctly described in the pop-ups, one time it told me to press ESC, when actually i had to press F (i think it was). It's like the interface is made to work against you in every moment.
Is there perhaps a mod that makes it better? Anyone tried it with a gamepad, does it make more sense?
