Dolphin includes the Wii common key, that's why Nintendo issued a DMCA.

Technically though, no software was yet released on Steam was it?

Therefor no data, no common keys, no anything. They DMCA'd an unreleased product (technically)

Though of course the already available non-Steam Dolphin does have that Wii common key

I wonder though, how does Dolphin survive outside of Steam? It's even on Github

Why aren't they DMCA'ing all that?

Valve doesn't developing Dolphin, and why Nintendo doesn't DMCA dolphin more than a decade? Scratch Head

I am thinking Nitnedo doesn't really have a case here, and more of abusing DMCA than actually doing something fully legal.

Coz they know Dolphin on Steam means that all the clueless people who wouldn't have dared/known to use it, now will be able to thanks to Steam. Kinda like those emulation repacks with which all you need is launch the shortcut.

Has anybody tried it on steam deck yet?. I keep reading it has gotten way better since the leak a few weeks ago, but I would rather not install Cryoutilities, Decky and other 3rd party stuff more than Emudeck...is it playable without the "enhancements"?. Every single guide I read counts those in :/

No texture glitches? BotW was a beatiful emulated experience but had some glitchy textures for ages, lava and castle walls come to mind.

Tested TOTK on 7900X/3080 this morning, seems to run just as well as the 13000k/4080

Keen to try it on the deck, but from what I can find, it seems to struggle holding 30

Edit: Forget that. 7900X + 3080 combo stutters quite a bit at times

Interesting. Just tried it myself

1440p / 60FPS and it's almost constantly smooth. I didn't set CPU speed to 200% but I did unlock the frame rate.

If this is day 1, then like TOTK it should get a lot better in the coming weeks. Not too shabby, apart from the mandatory control scheme...

I saw on Reddit last night that the Switch version was missing a bunch of effects compared to the PS4/old Xbox version

So... there's that as well

So there's been 5 patches for Zelda TotK, is there a way to update the game with them, are they even out on the wild seas?

I remember i had a program some year ago which just used Nintendo's servers to download the patches, and perhaps even the games. No clue what the hell it was called though, i just remember being quite surprised being able to update e.g Mariokart to the latest very easily.
Anyone know what that app is called?

(pretty sure i even have it installed still on my drive, finding it without knowing the name though...)
