I use VLC but very very rarely do I listen to music on my PC, and never watch movies on it.
I either use spotify/amazon music on my Echo Studio. Or DAC to old 90's Onkyo stereo I have for the music spotify/amazon doesn't have a lot of that artist I like.
For music making, I use a steinberg ci2 as my PC soundcard, well for everything I use that on my PC as output it IS my sound output. Other than my HyperX headset for discord.
