I've just finished watching the first season..
1923 is the best TV show in the Yellowstone setting
I'd give it a 9+/10
Amazing.

Even better than 1883? Really liked that one.
Also, there's gonna be another spinoff, called '1944'.

I enjoyed it more than 1883 tbh. All three story arcs were great, but my favourite was the one with the hunter and the girl

1923 - Halfway between the meh Yellowstone and the great 1883
It lacked focus, felt diluted over 3 story arcs that dragged the story with clutter and paper thin of the shelf characters.
Helen Mirren was the best one.

Maybe that's the rumored project Sheridan is working on with Matthew McConaughey?
Also there's "6666" on the horizon.

Some of the CGI was a bit poor, and I think the focus was a bit too much on Spencer, but nicely done overall. Timothy was fantastic as mr. evil corp 
I slightly prefer 1883 to this first season, we'll see how it pans out with the remainder
