Mutants Year Zero
Tactical turn based, not yet very far in, but it's nice, so far. Haven't died yet, but it can be challenging as you're underleveled most of the time and are supposed to sneak around the map, explore and scavenge stuff and pick off weaker enemies first, and sometimes you just have to come back at a later point.

Also got the isodemo for Stellar Tactics, it looks very cool and basically all I want from a turn based RPG, but it's in early access since 2016 or something Laughing
But it has surprisingly good reviews for a game that tries to do everything, so I'm intrigued Very Happy

The Last Spell
Though I'm usually not into pixel-art games, this one doesn't bother me. Turn based tactical rogue-lite where you defend a magic circle from horses of enemies every night with a few mercenaries.
Pretty varied in terms of equipment and stats, however your survival is pretty much down to the skill upgrades you can pick from 5 random ones every level. You have to cope with what you get, no specific 'builds'.

And Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous. 100h+ already and I'm maybe 2/3 in Very Happy

Back to playing No Mans Sky, at least for a while.
Friend got it, he never had it. And 3 of our mutual friends had it. So we are helping/playing with him in it.

Still not much new to do that has any meat on it to motivate you to create your own content with after you finish all the story, build a huge base or 10 of them..., and got a settlement and standing maxed with all factions, and visited a dozen or more galaxies.
But fun helping someone else experience it as it comes along to a new player.

Still playing Stellar Tactics, it's turning out to be a very nice little game. It's janky, but it's good jank Very Happy
Nothing too complex, and I'm sure once I reach the end of the early access story, it will get boring. But I'm still scratching the surface of chapter 1, it seems, and I've already clocked over 20 hours.

On PC, Guilty Gear Strive. Because of it friend and I decided to build our own controllers and maybe even sell them in the future.

On the other hand, I got PSVR2 so I'm sweating my ass off to Beat Saber, Synth Riders, Ragnarock, and Pistol Whip.

Just finished Showgunners, which was pretty good. Cool setting too, in a dystopian future with a tv game show featuring convicted criminals fighting for the price.

Basically The Running Man, with tactical turn based combat, what's not to like Very Happy

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1155330/Showgunners/

Started Hard West 2 next.

I really like these kind of tactical TBC games. Expeditions Rome is another one (probably the best I played recently of this genre). Especially when there are skills that reset action points, it can get really fun slaughtering an entire map in a single turn Very Happy

Just started up Miasma Chronicles cuz I'm a sucker for xcom-like games and their previous Mutant Year Zero was good. So far, enjoying it but still pretty early on. I feel they've built upon what worked in MYZ previously, and improved most of those features.

In contrast to that, I tried Darkest Dungeon 2. While I thoroughly enjoyed the first one, I just couldn't get into 2 at all. Every feature I loved was changed into a mechanic I didn't enjoy anymore.

I'm also in the middle of Star Trek Resurgence. While I would absolutely love a proper rpg/action rpg set in the ST verse, this narrative driven, choose your adventure is nice and relaxing. All the while, sticking true to the overall feel of ST and it's expansive lore and world building.

Done with Hard West 2, very nice, and the bravado system (reset all action points after every kill) was fun. Too bad it's so short.

Gonna give that Kind Arthur game a shot next. It's supposedly has 'action-point exploiting' mechanics/tactics, but also quite repetitive combat. We'll see...

I had to uninstall hard west 2 because I had the launch version and that was really broken balance wise before patches. I'll replay when I DL the updated version because it had a lot of promise.

really loving showgunners so I'm playing it in shortbursts as it's the only game this year that managed to grab me (System shock remake as well but that's next)

Yeah, definitely worth checking, and Showgunners is pretty short too, unfortunately. I think I enjoyed HW 2 more, with the bravado system, all your characters can go on killing sprees.
If you haven't played it yet, you could check Expeditions: Rome, which is pretty similar, combat wise, and similarly rewarding when you manage to clear a level in the first turn. Very Happy

That 10 euros seem reasonable rn. Is The Pitt Recruitment an expansion with new quests and zones? Or just couple of items and a faction? I also though the game was given for free somewhere but don't find it in my Steam and EGS library. Guess that was just for few days.
