You could argue few games are ever "fixed" in that there's absolutely no way it could ever malfunction in any way on any PC.
Yeah, any reasonable person understands that. However, this one will go down in the history books as being particularly bad.
It isn't fixed and it has a long way to go. It might be playable, but that's not the same as being fully functional (as the patch notes will continue to demonstrate).
for shits and giggles i reinstalled this and shader compilation took less than 5 min so this is fixed. loaded some chapters to test mouse and also is fixed, no jitter, 120fps feels like 120fps. audio seems fixed too, was too low sometimes but now seems leveled.
will people update their negative reviews now?
No?
Why the fuck should they when the game was released in such a shit state?

To open Run, press Win + I on your keyboard.
Enter SystemPropertiesPerformance and then press OK.
Go to the Advanced section.
Untick Auto-manage paging file size and on partition that your game is installed:
On min - 1,5x your RAM size and on max 3x your RAM size (for example 16 x 1024 x 1,5)
Set, OK, Apply and restart Windows.
Game freezes suddenly and then crashes to desktop.. Can't even get thru 1 longer cutscene.
for me it helped to disable memory overclock & undervolt on 4070ti, since newest update reintroduced crashes for me. I was using same settings for every game for two weeks with 0 crashes...
One crash after was related to corrupted steam files when starting snow chapter.... error literally showed description I should verify integrity of game files via steam... after that I finished the game without crashes...
The first post-fixed unneeded patch seems to have arrived. Issues that didn't need fixing in this 24GB patch:

Why they just can't admit , sorry guys we fooled you. We released a game in alpha stage thinking suckers won't notice.
Because among the people complaining, there are a bunch of dopes who will defend it anyway. So long as they exist, there's no real need to admit anything. Game was fixed ages ago, remember?
I was going to test it out before work today, but ~50GB in 1hr isn't going to work on this connection
Well, what about releasing a patch that removes this mandatory shader crap so poor Humpers such as me can run this crapsus on not-so-old cards and CPUs !?
Edit: Btw, yesterday I tried this turd for the first time but only a DOS prompt like window appeared for a split second and then... nothing. Cyka please !
That's got nothing to do with performance. Just let it finish and dont start playing until its over and that will be it. The fact that its there is a good thing. Shader stutter's been all the rage in the last 2 years, with near every AAA game being plagued by stutters. If they'd remove this step the game would stutter every few seconds.
