Likely a cascade of shitty ports from PS3 > Now. Still worthwhile business for them 15 something year old game, sell at full price a couple of hundred thousand more copies. In case you havn't noticed, none of these companies care their games run like shit on PC people interested buy them anyway.

When the game updated it didn't do the shaders cache again. I played from the 1.0 version, and neither of the two patches already released caused the shaders to be needed to be cached again.

So I played this game until I reached the first consolitis mini game, where you have to pres unknown button to get free from a zombie, I knew this shit would be in there, immersion braking console crap.

yup... it sounded better than what it was, like always. e.g totally recreated A.I etc, it really makes no difference, well, none that i could tell really. game dropped from one of the better games i had played to just "good", maybe a 7.5 or weak 8. It's always F or whatever your language layout's corresponding letter. You probably have some weird glitch where it does not show. If you are facing a Clicker - you need an upgrade to be able to counter them with a shiv.
Probably that's why they didn't protect zis game with Denuvo cuz they knew the game isn't finished yet.
I don't think that's the reason. None of the Sony ports had denuvo, right?
Sony has never used it and probably never will, from what i remember a lot of the People responsible for Denuvo including the founder Reinhard Blaukovitsch worked on Securom before for Sony DADC.
There was some pretty bad shit going on with Securom and Sony might have closed their division cause of that.
It's probably safe to assume there is still some bad blood from back then and they didn't split on the best of terms.
On-topic i didn't have any crashes since i updated the game and switched the nvngx_dlss.dll to the newest version it runs kinda ok now will still wait for a few patches before i continue.
I will try this tonight and see how it plays on my system.
Both of Days Gone and Horizon were shit ports with 10+ patches before it was good at all.
Days Gone ran pretty much flawless on PC when it was released, it was the Playstation version they fucked up on release. Horizon had issues on release but was pretty much perfect after a few patches.
Other PS Studios games like Spiderman, Returnal and Uncharted were also great on release.
It's a mystery how they could have fucked up so badly, especially now that the game gets full attention again thanks to the HBO series. But it wasn't a surprise when I saw the system requirements for a game that runs smoothly at 60fps on a PS5 console.
Wasn't most stuff hardcoded for Playstation for The Last of Us? Or something like that. Because people were saying it's almost impossible to port the game to other platforms. Guess they improvised and didn't work out as expected.

Very nice game, although it's not the second coming of christ as some people would want you believe
Had a lot fun with combat; sound design, physics, gore, ... .
Enemy AI wasn't that great, but at least they try flanking and what not, which I haven't seen since HL2
Technical side, apart from lower FPS than I'd have wanted (but with all options on ultra, it wasn't a surprise either so...), just 1 crash. I think a lot of people should just wait until shaders complete before complaining Not saying the game doesn't have its share of issues, but it's definitely no Cyberpunk 2077 either.
Ellie in the game is so much more likeable than in the show
And I don't see what Joel did wrong there in the end, they were all cunts and none were innocent, but maybe that's more on me

This is actually a remake for PS5/PC in a new engine it uses new assets and all the cutscenes are inengine now (most where just videos in the old version) so that's probably why.

Nvidia have said that the game is crashing 30x series cards and it's an OPEN issue.....
Yeah it's definitely still crashing i thought the dll fix would help but it still just crashed there are 2 patches scheduled for next week who knows maybe there will be another new driver with a fix soon as well.
It's one of the oldest plot points in history - does the end justify the means. And in the end both Joel and the Firefaggots thought that their respective "ends" do indeed justify any means.
