Ya looks pretty decent, they've streamlined a the end-game content a bit removing watchers stones, regions and a lot of unnecessary complexity (it really needed it). However there is now a second massive 600 node passive tree for atlas
Not much of a balance pass this time.. They didn't nerf the broken skills every reddit derp googles and plays... but did nerf Melee skills again, that havn't been playable in 5 years.
they really need to come up with some other kind of combat, this spastic dodging n running around, is costing them all the casual players and im sooo bored of these mechanics , total unfun
Lost Ark is a typical carrot on a stick Asian MMO. I'll say pass to that. It's a shame, because the combat is enjoyable, but everything else is a mess.
Nah this will not happen before POE2 (and no they didn't say if it actually will happen) it's just not possible with current engine from what i read but there is controller support on PC now so fuck i'm in again.

I think I'm done with this game, the poor balancing has left this game unplayable. 70% of players run the same OP skills every league. For whatever reason GGG balance the game around the 3 derp skills.. i do not understand.
Game has so much potential, deepest ARPG mechanics ever made. GGG balance so 95% of the skills and builds are useless, oh well. I also think the notion of "starter builds" is dumb, so i have to play the game for 200 hours in a way i don't want to, to accrue enough currency to play the game the way i want to?
any criticism = get good by googling DD and siesmic trap build, game is perfect! nah fuck this..
I like PoE well enough but i always get kind of burned out after the campaign and end up running maps for a couple hours and lose interest... basically the whole point of the game

That's the problem I have with all action RPG's, endgame is boring, but it's all about endgame.
I was tired just watching the Crucible announcement and thinking about doing yet another campaign. No, thanks. No more PoE for me until PoE2. Gimme Diablo 4, time for something new...

I'd like to play PoE again but I'm fed up with same story all over again and again.

Yeah a common complaint, it doesn't bother me too much because I play around with the build a lot during the 10 act's. Max i can do is two run throughs a league and that's if I'm really enjoying the league mechanic. Otherwise its one and done. I have no idea what the story is if there is one either.. I've never listened to the click npc dialog. I think all dialog in these games should play to you while you play (I think it should be like that in almost all games though).
It's also a gauge to me for how well the build is performing dmg and defence wise. I can do campaign in about 5-7hrs. I think the new campaign will be shorter, Chris has said he thinks the 10 acts are too long, as well as it effectively being a color shifted copy paste 5+5.
I think it depends how you play, I know I'm in a minority of gamers that doesn't mind losing, dying / losing a character. For me the fun is the math, spec'ing into and out of stuff, building around a rare drop you find etc. -> not beating all the content unhindered with the latest popular meta-skill, I can see how that would make the game limiting and campaign boring though.
Change it up, try SSFHC, try ruthless and how far you can go with your own brain powers. Don't rage quit when you die unless your super late game. Dying during acts is a nothing burger when you keep your stash, you can get back to wherever it was in a few hours. There's only really 2 places you can die in acts even with a mediocre build, innocence and to lesser extent a8 doedre (if you have no phys res. armour). That or rushing / racing through content with garbage gear otherwise its pretty easy.
It would be nice to be able to hide the HUD, as when it is on, the zoom level will probably feel the same as in game 1 because of the UI taking up half the screen.
