how can devs be so irresponsible and just overall stupid. fire whoever is in charge of that, he clearly doesn't give two shits and will just be bad for the company and give them a bad name.
Review numbers have doubled since I last posted and it's still on Mostly Negative.
Arkham Knight was so bad they had to halt sales and re-release it for PC, I wonder if the same will happen here. So far it's very similar to what occurred 8 years ago. If you read through the issues, a lot of them aren't related to shader compilation.
It's either incompetence (from a developer with a shit track record in the PC space) or nepotism that hands IG these large titles. Makes no sense otherwise

IG should stick to consoles
Aparently naughty dog did this themselves. Iron Galaxy claim they helped a little bit, but not much. Naughty Dog did this, they even say it themselves.
"As we began development in-house, we wanted PC players to experience an amazing story that truly lasts the test of time while maintaining the equally high-quality bar across both PC and PlayStation consoles. "
"Following UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection’s PC release, we focused our efforts and learnings onto the PC version of The Last of Us Part I. Behind the scenes, we worked towards ensuring that The Last of Us Part I would be an authentic, satisfying experience for those playing on PC. The challenges we overcame and the successes we achieved in our previous modern PC release empowered us to dig into Part I’s PC development. New projects bring new challenges and opportunities alike."
Multiple news articles citing IG as the developers (for weeks, with no rebuttle), the official Steam page citing IG as the developers and a PC specs sheet with an IG logo on it.
Giant Iron Galaxy logo visible when you launch the game
I have made some crazy, outlandish assumptions that IG may have been involved

yeah, it's nobody's fault. Everyone thought iron galaxy did this until they published that article a few hours ago. But i'd say it's an even worse look for how the game is if ND did it themselves. Let's see how long they'll support this and fix it
ND thanking them on social media, logos everywhere, being listed in the credits. Is all of that supposed to be a mistake? They give them that much credit for a 'little bit' of help?
Maybe ND removed them from Steam because they're willing to take all of the flak.
If someone hires me for animation guidance and the end result is utter shit, I don't just get to wash my hands of it
with dlss on quality on 1080p all on high i have constant 100fps with dips on 85 lowest in some areas. tried to medium and now it dosent dip bellow 100, either way its butter smooth. with no dlss u shave some 15fps
needs to be tweaked more but no such guides yet. i thought there is no rtx in this game but i do see things like real time water reflections so need to turn it off. this on 2070s
dlss does work for me, apparently it dosent on rune release

adding SelfProtect=0 under settings in .ini solves that
is that real ? So that's why DLSS was not showing on the pirate version ? It means there might be additional fucks ups from these Rune dudes in addition to the legit game

Its cdx emu basically guess they have some self protection code to block devs triggers that goes wrong.
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D / MSI Gaming X Slim GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER / ASRock B650 PRO RS / Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 / G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 2x16GB DDR5-6000 CL30 / Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB / SeaSonic VERTEX GX-850 850W Gold / Lian Li LANCOOL 216
Btw, is the RUNE release good to get (with the DLSS fix in the ini)? Or are there other releases since? I'm usually quite lucky with performance (perhaps those 64GB RAM do have an impact ), so I'm pretty curious how it'll run here (2080 Super)
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
