From memory that's not really a fight though, i think you just press X on car which unfolds more story. Later comes the chainsaw battle where you need to hit a hanging body or something to trigger an event but you will use all your ammo a couple of times trying to figure out wtf your supposed to do. I was a bit put off by the southern / rob zombie movie theme too, but that's only like 10-15% of the game. It's a good game for sure, they did a good job on the horror side with that game as well, definitely in the top 5.
I don't know how far through this game I am (maybe 1/2?) it's decent enough. There's no technical faults here, it probably has the deepest graphic customization for PC of any RE title. My only criticisms are subjective so its understandable if someone thinks this is a top tier RE game. At this point the series completely drops the Noir like themes of the original trilogy (which I really like) but I guess you can't do that forever.
- I don't like the world building as much in this one. Which is weird because I would say village was heavily inspired and kind of similar to this. RE8 just does it way better.
- Sort of weak story so far, all i have is Leon and Girl there's not even a a strong overarching villian or villians.
- Combat is important in RE games but this is too much combat for me. I'd prefer less combat, more item scarcity and the occasional evade monster / conserve resource gameplay.

Finished the game. Fucking incredible. just as original.
3080 10gb. disabled RT crap right after I started and no crashes. Fuck the puddles reflections.
4k, max settings otherwise. later I disabled strand hair and I actually like it more without strand hair + 10% more performance.
The game controls and looks like a dream. Combat is so good. it's as good if not better done than re2 remake.

How's the performance on PC compared to the demo?

Its pretty decent, 90fps with everything maxed RTX off (was having periodic crashes which seemed to happen entering cut-scenes so probably low vram) with it on. 3080 10gb. DLSS can modded in for modest gains but i haven't tried it yet. No stutter or pop-in, so like previous recent Capcom games.
I got Capcom as best AAA studio/publisher at the moment, who else is making stuff this well with good performance and little to no issues?

I would say is pretty good. 1070Ti - 1440p @ 16:9 - High settings and FSR2 Quality gives around 60fps and 85% GPU usage.
(In some instances goes up to 99% an tanks a few frames)

Or prompts when doing a certain puzzles.
But i have to agree, without Praydogs mod i woudnt play it either as the low fov gives me motion sickness with the narrow vioew you have.

Good, cant complain. Maxed the VRAM apart from RT as this crashes the game.
| Interinactive wrote: | | Runs brilliantly unless it's raining, I saw it almost cut in half in the village when the storm picks up maybe 20% of the way through the game |
Really ? Cause for me its the opposite, i can hear the rain and see Leon get wet but i dont see a single raindrop and performance stays the same ^^
