I think i just have stop playing it like an RE game. I'm having more success just mindless running through hordes shooting, not waiting for reticle. I think some area's are unlimited spawns, at there is always dynamite exploding somewhere but most the time it helps you. There's always something behind you, just run forwards, abuse Melee invincibility and don't worry abut ammo because you won't run out.
still..
Spoiler:
Yeah it's not bad, it slows down a bit after the first hour or two. I guess its an easter-egg, don't shoot fish at the lake lol.
To think how poorly the first game was brought to PC... to this. All of the gameplay and video options, it runs very well and it looks / feels good. Capped at 120 frames, 1440p, maxed out and it doesn't dip at all.
The first RE4 was so bad that I never made it through the first village area on PC, it was all gamecube. This is going to be great
Edit: Modern lighting makes a huge difference, it definitely gives it a darker tone
Are you using the REFramework mod for increased FOV ?
Well, at least on PC you'll be able to uncover them (unless the nexus cucks have really REALLY gone full wokémon).
Honestly more interested in the jacket mod for Leon although his jacket in the original looked a lot cooler. Still not a fan of these new faces Capcom has been doing since DMC5... something really off about them.
As I recall 2 and 3 were cracked pretty soon right? Unless my memory mistaken me. They both used denuvo as well.
Codex did 2. Codex no longer exists. 3 got a scene release 7 months after launch. Its only empress now for denuvo. And another 15 or so denuvo games already released just this year that arent cracked.
As before, the new way of the world is, if you have a game or two that you absolutely must play as soon as they launch, save money in advance. Otherwise, there are games with denuvo from 2018 onwards left uncracked

I should really start playing this series. I did get bummed out a bit after hearing RE3 was kinda botched though with the removal of loads of content.
I liked RE3, it has some replayability due to unlocks each run. I typically don't replay / speedrun games, but yeah I was speedrunning RE3 so got a decent amount of hours out of it.
RE2make is my favourite in the whole series. I think it has the perfect balance of gameplay with the production quality. Control is not taken from you as much as a typical AAA cinematic game.
7 and 8 are good, There is enough depth to the gameplay where it's not just like watching a movie but it is still a much more movie-like experience.
I wouldn't know how to score the games after those 3. I don't think this one is as good from a gameplay and story perspective. So many of the other titles would compete for my #4. I think all of them outside 5-6 are worth your time.
I tried 7 twice and couldn't get into it. It was very cool to begin with. Creepy and nice, just how i like it. It just felt procedural as we progressed. Finish one place and suddenly you're in a thematically different place with new enemies and a new boss skulking about. Finish that place and you get a new thematically different place with new enemies and anther boss skulking about.
It felt way too artificial. Maybe this changes, but after reaching the third area i kinda had enough

If you didn't like that you definitely wouldn't have liked RE8. I thought RE7 was fairly organic.. you start in the abandoned house, you move to the older house that's on the same plot of land, then end up on a derelict ship, and then ahh shit i see what you mean.
It definitely started off MUCH stronger than it ended. I loved it personally. I've described the first ~half of the game as a scary Maniac Mansion
I don't mind that, really like the way they did RE8 which has pretty clear themed zones, I guess i really like the first 3 zones, only the last section felt meh to me.
RE7 in particular has a somewhat frustrating intro as well, there's a number of spongy boss fights and a few timed events one after another. A lot of these games (well at least 7, 8 and 4) throw timed event at the player with no weps, no ammo, no nothing in the first hour which I think puts off a lot of first time players.
If you hadn't played any of these games, I would start with RE2make though. RE8 is a bit better than this as well.
Ah man, i thought the first boss fight was one of the most memorable ones of all time. You're stuck in a garage with a psycho in a pontiac firebird doing burnouts trying to run you over lmao
