This game is really not for me. Might be fun for some but I cant get past the crappy textures, the dumb ai and just...boring gameplay. Something is wrong when you can complete almost every mission "rambo style" in a Commandos game, even on higher difficulty levels. And I hate renderware almost on pure principle (anyone who has tried making a game on that engine knows what I'm talking about)

Damn, hoped this would keep me occupied until Oblivion.

Normal. It's quite funny to see me getting gunned down by a tank and 30 soliders, and then the medic somehow manages to pick me up and drag me all the way back. Super medic. Very Happy

Yeah what level are you on? If it's one the tutorial levels then thats how it's supposed to be.

Yeah, tutorial level. I'm at lvl4( i think) where your playing with a spy and sniper, with the stopped convoy. Game is OK, nothing special but not bad. Something until Oblivion comes Smile

I am at the first mission in Norway. So far the game has been fun but the level of dumbness is increasing with each level. My brother who is a Commandos "veteran" having completed Commandos 1 and 2 on hard difficulty felt this game is for wannabe kiddies. But I am not complaining because I am one of them Very Happy

The last level in France where you had to steal a truck, kill a General and rescue a doctor was the height of stupidity. All you need to do is get a gestapo uniform and then you can walk straight to the objectives. And even if a Gestapo does see and raise the alarm, you can become Rambo and knock the socks out of an entire German garrison. So much for sneaking around really!!!

Just did the save sniper/beret mish part II. There's a firing squad trying to execute some russian soldiers, u can ignore that and proceed with your main objectives but I decided i'm not letting them die whatever it costs me )) So I wiped out the whole garrison with the spy starting with the silenced pistol with one clip (duck behind cover, kill soldier, run and take his mp40 etc). After that, when I killed the last soldier the mission was completed AUTOMATICALLY. I got all objectives at once and the mish-end cinematic started. Though i didn't get any bonus for the russian guys. But in the cinematic they both jumped in the truck I was supposed to steal when we were leaving the base.

tried that about 10 times - can't be done 'coz there a few Krauts BEHIND the mg42, they whack u before u can kill the squad and turn back. Playin' on normal diff.

neways i just finished the game. apart from it bein' short the only complaint is the last mish is as difficult as the middle one with defend the bridge... may b easier Sad

No, it's RenderWare engine...it's basically a console engine, so that's why your performance is shit.

Crappy engine? Ok early versions of the engine were not that good but nowadays the Renderware engine is very good. Or why do most PC-only-gamers whine about not getting the great looking Burnout 3, Burnout Revenge, Black?

so what? kill them. it's not a stealth mission and there's plenty of ammo (sniper rifle ammo in lil' boxes and luger ammo dropping from officers). just shoot the in the head with your luger to save sniper ammo.
