My store is already in ARS, so I don't need to use a VPN.

But when I was changing regions back in the day I did it by tethering my vpn'ed (there are lots, I used Urban VPN) phone to my pc.
Somehow with the VPN on my pc I couldn't get it to work.

Cold Steel IV shot up to 5400 ARS from 389, increase by over 1000% Laughing

tl,dr: steam's friendlist uses animated avatars etc. and outdated version of chromium resulting in cpu load of 13% on an i9 9900k (9th gen, 8 physical cores 3.6ghz boost clock rate 5ghz). I guess that this is an issue if you got lots of friends added(200-300 friends) so yeah there is a setting for the friendlist where you just can deactivate the animations.


just check out steamwebhelper in your taskmanager while just idleing with steam being open to see if this is an actual issue for you.

are you guys able to buy with your CC in uncle Diego? stopped working for me... tried both Visa and MC, also both Visa and MC on Revolut but not working anymore Sad

Heads up - I tried using my Mastercard with an Argentinian address and it was rejected by my bank. I tried again with my real UK address BUT leaving the country as Argentina and it was accepted. Very Happy

Stopped working on my Mastercards so I ordered a Curve card and it works fine

Well duh, usually your billing address has to be the same as the one your bank has, at least when it comes to debit cards.
