I have a i7 11th/3060 laptop and it runs pretty inconsistently. The weird thing is it's running the same as multiple gens old GPU's from what I've seen on youtube.
Ray Tracing could be fine one second then a cutscene happens and suddenly it's a slideshow (maybe it's not a slideshow and runs fine). I just turned RT off and it seems to be the most consistent. it barely alters the look of the game but destroys performance randomly.
I did update the DLSS file but I didn't really notice much difference.

I'm averaging around 70 fps on my laptop (i9-10850k, 2070 super, 64GB RAM ) (I grew up in the days that adding more RAM solved 99% of performance issues ). Most settings on ultra/high, except sky and fog on medium, DLSS on quality, never even bothered with RT.
I'm noticing some occasional dips, especially when running around the castle from one room to another like the game can't keep up with streaming the data, but nothing too annoying. GPU jumps from around 65% to 99% during those moments, and after about 20 seconds it goes back down.
Combat, for example, is always very smooth.
Now I'm very curious to see the impact of updating DLSS!
Edit: (still crashing)

I also get random CTD with no errors. It doesn't happen often enough to ruin things and the game saves often enough.

Did they break HDR or something? Every building inside Hogsmade is so frigging bright.
I think it's RT that's fucked up. Disabled it and it looks much better.

Sounds like this is worth-a-isodemo, once Denuvo is out for good.
All these updates not cracled should make a better experience than the Emp. version.

if youre playing with headphones , check out this mod
https://www.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/mods/1049
also as mentioned on csrin , id agree this is the "bestestest" performance mod/ini tweak collection
https://www.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/mods/660 (even if you dont RT)
regarding the stupid the fog, either remove it completely or use reshade with the clarity filter (conservative settings) and levels filter (needs a bit of tweaking to not clip details , fortunately you can display those)
and last but not least, upgrading to 32gb ram did help with the 1%/.1% lows but also apart from benchmarking the game feels more fluid
maybe this helps sb

This is why I'm playing it with the good ol' FLINGing away the grind treatment. Basically I can't play any game with systems that waste time for no reason. Why do I need to wait 15mins for a plant to grow for example? etc etc Sprinkle some XP x5 multiplier and basically eliminate any silly timewasting mechanics to get to the real sauce: the combat and the story.
I hardly find much time, let alone the energy to game so it feels pretty silly to have mechanics that require job level time investments for laughable "rewards". I ain't 16 no more GIVE ME THE GOOD STUFF NAO

Yeah, I see you.
ANYTHING that steals / wastes time in grinding-like (MMO-types) or trial-and-error (Elden Ring) systems is a big NO for me.
Got other priorities in games atm: world building, attention to detail, environments, atmosphere, art-style, characters, stories, fun & immersive (subjective, I know) gameplay etc.

Finally finished this teen wizard simulator. Stellar world design, decent enough combat but completely rubbish story and why in the hell are most side missions collectathons? Who tf enjoys that tedious crap? Locking lockpicking upgrades behind it made me not even bother.
Pace is a bit too slow as over half the game is still tutorials and unlocking new stuff. (I haven't brewed a single potion not planted a seed or gave a fuck about collecting beasts) was still able to finish the main story and the major relationship/side quests.
My main gripe is that most side stuff is very basic and more often than not is just another collectathon bullshit.
6/10
Performance was really weird. With any RT options on, the exact SAME scene will be a slideshow one time then completely smooth the next. With RT off it would be very smooth most of the time. RT ambient occlusion was the only thing worth having on as it would change the look for the best the most.

Yeah, if I was 15, I would drool all over this game. But after all these years with collecting shits in games it feels super boring. But so far played for only 2 hours. Still, I think the people who worked on the game really love the books and tried their best.

Despite my comment above, I too completed it recently after 43 hours Got to 82%, with all sidequests and field pages found (I thought you needed to 100% the pages to get the full ending, but I think you just need to reach lvl 34). Really couldn't be bothered going through all caves, as the loot pretty much sucks in this.
The homebase is kind of cool, but indeed completely useless I just stacked on all potions and plants whenever I was there (there's an item that creates a random potion every 15 minutes, and you can have 3 of those). In the end, it did help me with the final boss though.
There's plenty of updates possible for a sequel, like proper lessons and school simulator/mechanics, much better side content and things to do and so on. The world itself is grand, a perfect template for more and better content.
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

This game had one of the worst open world activity list i've seen in an open world game. Still confused why it's rated so highly and i'd like to personally remove fingers from the person that decided you needed to collect 650+ items for the platinum. Story, graphics & gameplay were pretty cool though. It's just the sheer amount of stupid shit you need to slog through that reaaaally sucked.

The visuals are nice and it has a very polished feeling about it in general. And it ran a lot better than recent AAA titles.
