Didn't the last one reset the MK timeline? Could be hinting that 12 is actually the first in the new timeline.

last one was like 3-4 part of that designs/story, good, let them reset everything. also hopefully new engine but i guess it will be modified old one. what i would love would be like mk1 stuff (no silly crap or brought to minimal, brutal as fuck, realistic designs, grim locations and so on).

somehow the new timeline will consist of the same classic fighters and maybe 2-3 new ones.

The original wasn’t called “Mortal Kombat 1”, it was called “Mortal Kombat”, so if anything, we would have been confused in 2011, when “Mortal Kombat” was released. Miraculously, we endured.

and imo its great they skipped adding nubmers. aslo story needed reset anyway. trailer is "ok-ish", waiting for in engine gameplay, rest is not important. good its current gen only, switch will be via cloud, cant see it otherwise.
