It's definitely better. I've played for 4-5hrs since I applied those tweaks, and I only get the first type of slowdowns as shown in the video from before
No shouldn't diminish the quality. For 24GB of VRAM lets see:
*2048 = recommended for 8GB, try 6144 ? It's what the Nexus Ascendio mod/installer does, but we dont need a 300mb installer and we're just setting the PoolSize to recommendations of the modder based on available VRAM.
Latest one does recommend not to use any pool allocation at all since the patch now automatically assigns the value.
Yeah okay, I had wondered why the dev team hadn't done this from the start given its about 3 lines of code.
This I just can't believe in what a lackluster state this game has been released on PC. Even people with a 4090 are complaining. But hey, it's your childhood fantasy so this game is fine anyway
Yeah from what i experienced, I had to edit engine.ini even with patched game. It's a significant difference so you can tell quickly copy and pasting the edit vs. non-edit.

Didn't buy the game, and with the huge price hike also not planning to. Think I'd sooner buy Returnal for ~30yuro on pampas steam than this.
Can't even say that I'm desperately waiting for it too, really. The cracled version will be the extremely unpatched one, and from most of what I've read here and on other forums the game still needs to be properly patched (and I'm not sure those WB fuckos will spend much resources on trying to get the PC version up to par).
For now, Monster Hunter Rise, Returnal and SDALGER Anomaliyyy Ultra Zone are keeping me entertained. With some luck, DS Remake, Callisto Protocol and eventually Atomic Heart will get cracled too *eventually* and if not, the huge backlog still resists.

The dude might be talented, but he's a few marbles short of a full set. Guess that adage of "genius and madness are two sides of the same coin" carries some weight after all.

I like this Empress character, we rarely get unhinged and no fucks given in the technology space these days. Also doesn't Fitgirl just extract, delete garbage, compress content, and archive, hardly difficult / not wrong.
thats what all repackers do, so empress is not wrong. with the rise of r/crackwatch kids dont even know what a repack is and really think these repackers also cracked the game. idk why repackers are relevant these days
They are continually updated and act as AIO (all in one) downloads, so you don't have to go and find updates / cracks that work together
The file size is much smaller, which is great for people with shitty internet (eg: myself)
They're easy to store, and you can store a lot more with all the shedded file sizes
Fitgirl is the best source for emulated Switch games on PC, you can download entire setups without having to configure anything. Download, launch and play
They're so well known in the community that you can trust them as a source
This fitgirl person does a lot more than most people in this space nowadays
People were just as clueless about who it was that was cracking their games back when we copied their releases on floppy disks or CD ROMs, only nerds like us ever cared about that kinda stuff - and well, before high speed internet was a thing, you kinda needed to gravitate towards the scene's connections to get anything "fresh" at decent speeds. That's not necessary anymore at all with torrents and DLL sites.
Same thing with movie releases, you actually needed those groups with top suppliers to get any source at all pre-2005 - nowadays, these sources are seldom individuals leaking shit anymore, it's just grabbing files from streaming platforms or unsecure deposits and whatnot.

i dont care about repacks, i stay away from them like the plague, i always go for clean files
I agree, it's beyond trivial for a cracker to evade A/V. Obfuscating outbound traffic ain't that hard either, not that anyone would be looking at it. I wouldn't trust it.
