Played it for one hour. Works quite well considering the system requirements it has. RTX 2070S, 3700X, 16GB RAM and it holds constant 60-70 fps on 1440p, all settings either epic or high.
Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro | AMD Ryzen 5800X3D + be quiet! Dark Rock 4 | KFA2 RTX 4080 | 32GB G.Skill Trident Z RGB DDR4 @3600MHz | Samsung 860 Evo 500GB + 1TB + 10TB WD Blue | Corsair RM750x | LG 27GL83A + LG 27GL850 | Fractal Define R6 | Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth | DeathAdder Chroma
The differences between 8GB to 32GB rams are not that signifyingly, It's always the poor optimization that fucked things in games, in that case, Its a good port with good optimization.
Graphically? Or thematically? Because I've been tinkering for 10 minutes with the black point and brightness to see everything properly. Has a greyish dark hue that somehow fucks with the overall view. Subtle, but it is there.

Brightness and black seem fine for me on default settings on LG B9 OLED HDR.
i can confirm this, no washed out colors, no raised black levels (C9)
this is an impeccable port
my only problem is with the audio; when i use my headphones wireless i get sporadic audio-cut-outs (xbox wireless headset with windows 2.4ghz adapater). as soon as i plug them in via USB audio is stable. first time/game this has happened
This game is a gem, beat it on ps5. There's a lot of autoaim on console so either platform should be easy enough.
If anyone's getting frustrated by dying once you hit level 3 or 4 dont worry about it, gets easier as you unlock different weapon types. Once you get the portal beam it's game over.
I suck at soulslike games, but am quite enjoying this one. I got killed by the first boss, but wasn't completely obliterated, at least. Also, the setting/atmosphere is pretty good.
No, its just if you don't want to resume the current run when you play it next time. When the game launched, there was no option to suspend your run so you had to put the console into sleep mode to resume where you left off.

How stupid is that. It's like they think no one has any sort of life and responsibilities and can play for hours and hours at a time

Got it, thought i am missing something.
It's a great game, been long since a game kept me playing that late in the night
Benchmark on this game is something else... even if it ends up being like a GTA4 benchmark (member that one? ) when compared to the game running, some nice amount of effort clearly went into it.
Starting the game now.
EDIT: 1h30 in and I'm liking it pretty well. But did sony really make people play this with a derptroller? Dayum

yup, no voodoo involved though, all it does is automate the process of making a copy of the current save. once you die you can revert to the backup save
btw that weapon that shoots the red lasers that form gated laser traps is so OP its not even funny
