Ok mens, riddle me this:
I want to give Atomic Heart a try, and see two gamepass options for 1€ on the windows store, normal and ultimate.
Ultimate offers some more shit, but unless some of the good stuff is not mentioned in this comparison, then the ultimate doesn't seem that much better:

My question is, in the description above it says that only the first month is at 1€, after that normal prices apply. While 1 month will be more than enough for me to play what I want to play, wasn't there some sort of deal in which you'd stack more "free"/1€ months on top of the first?

best deal I have seen is buy the XBox Live Gold plan (can get is fairly cheap across places) and when you pay $1 for the free month or $14.99 for the Ultimate plan, it will automatically convert said Gold plan to Ultimate for whatever amount of Live Gold months you activated for. Reddit had people talk about Turkey having the cheapest prices but now MS has started preventing activation when people attempt to do that via VPN. Also, I believe the max you can do this for is 3 years (i.e. buying 3 years of Gold and then tacking on the single payment of Ultimate).
Note two things tho: you need to turn off recurring billing so when this all expires, you can do it again and I also do not know if this works outside of the US so you'll want to look into that if you're outside of the US.

Try it, but i just bought it normally and it was 1 dollar. I already bought several 1$ deals. The most recent one was a few months ago to play A Plague Tale
I was playing on a dummy account for that $1 deal for a couple of hours. Saw this video and, as far as I can tell, I've switched to my main account and the game was available to play, so I guess the method in the video will work. Savegames from the dummy account doesn't carry over to other accounts tho. Once it expires, I'll try subscribing to another dummy account and see what happens.
Gamepass has some nice titles, but I refuse to pay the full gamepass price and can't fucking stand that UWP thing where you simply cannot access the folders and files, even with that "Take Ownership.reg" method, so I rather pay that $1 on other accounts lol
