I have to say, I quite like their 3 minute reviews. They are generally good at giving a quick overview about a game and I can tell if I would be interested or not, and can then look deeper. No sense in watching a 10-15 minute review of a game I ultimately have no interest in.
But yeah, something fishy must be going on at The Escapist. After downsizing a while ago (IIRC) and focusing more on Yathzee, I honestly believed that he sort of owned a part of the company now. Apparently not, or at least not to a material degree.

Hell I didnt even really notice he was part of it, or what 'escapist' was. To me it was just an extra intro card on his videos saying The Escapist. If pressed to answer, I couldn't even tell you a single thing about The Escapist, other than "Uh...where Zero Punctuation is...linked from, maybe a sponsor of his? Is that right?"
Hell that might not even be right (im literally guessing as all I know is it's a title card in the intro with those words on it when I watch the video on youtube), I care/know so little about anything outside of his videos itself. I could be wrong on how he was connected to them
