Waiting a couple years at least before a first playthrough. The way to go with anything Betheshda/CDPR releases
Where does this sentiment come from?
I started playing Bethesda games with Daggerfall, then Morrowind, Oblivion, the Fallouts etc
The only game I didn't play was Fallout 76
They all played great at launch. It was never a massively different experience years later unless you count DLCs / mods.
Script errors and general bugs seem to be part of Bethesda games and even decades have little effect on that.
Well, skyrim had serious issues. UI is a travesty. Well, that's a joke, but not. Fuck them, they suck.
But on a serious note: the game started struggling mid to late game due to all the world changes you did. I don't recall if it was crashes or loading screens taking forever. I believe it was fixed with the 64bit upgrade
Skyrim had some serious performance issues in towns due to some vegetation bug or something like that.
I assume its just that they generated 1000 maps of Skyrim size, you drop the concept of "fully exploring the map" at that point. So in theory your maps are more vast and sparsely populated with content but story / quest locations.
In theory its more immersive, I've never liked the doors every 50 meters to quest locations in TES games. Does that mean you have a lander or something to explore planet surface locations? or would it be Skyrim walking with fast-travel? I assume the latter because the vehicle idea seem like something the engine wouldn't be able to do.
My expectation of this game if they nail it is: FO4/Skyrim with hopefully better gun play in a space setting. It will still have the usual Beth glitches and bugs, mundane procedural quests, and probably a boring main quest-line (I don't think any main story Bethesda has done has been super interesting.)
So far they've not announced anything to kill mods, so if the mod community gets behind it then it will be a good sandbox RPG. Anything better than that and they exceed my expectations, but yeah I'm interested to play.
It's alright by me if a couple are well hand crafted planets and the rest is basically just farming/building area, All of NMS's planets just lack the unique parts too after you saw the same 15 variations over and over with different palette. So having at least 3 made by hand is already better than that, starting low in case Beth negatively surprises us, I forgot if they communicated how many were made by hand if at all
The twists and turns, "if this rumors guy got this event right, then his rumors of the playtesters saying that Starfield is ZOMFG might be true too and that *might* mean that that is true too!11!1!"
TL:DW: microsoft and bethesda event on the 25th, but only forza, minecraft and that shitass zoomer vampire looter shooter will be featured. No Starfield news/videos/previews for you.

i guess thouth if without a legit key the installation was rolling back we are all fucking then
Supposedly it was due to the budget cuts M$ is doing, and they're waiting until that cools down to report the delay. I just hope it doesn't get delayed, I want to play it already!
