They're actually still trying?

Meanwhile every real gamer (and people that watched Edgerunners): "More Cyberpunk content? Awesome!"

No expert here but ive read that they plan to do a good deal of revising mechanics for patch 1.7 while at the same time ditching last gen consoles.
I figured ill wait for that patch until i finally dive into this one

I know they will not do it, but I still would like to see a real 3rd person camera view even if it switched back to first person for combat. Now if they actually did that maybe they would be my vote for Labor of Love instead of piggybacking that vote off the Netflix show bringing new people playing.

My plan as well ! It is playable and enjoyable atm, but I'm hopeful this update will be rather substantial - and it's not like the backlog's length is decreasing either:D

Still a long way until the final-refixed-full-DLC-remastered-honest-to-god-completed-almost-as-advertised-edition.
BUT(!) I am gonna replay this one day. There's some good quality under the unfixable cyber-junk.

i started playing but then i realized what kind of backlog i have and how idiotic it would be to play it now IF an actual substantial patch is ever released.

Let's not fool ourselves.
There won't be any 'substantial patch(es)' for this, only several major / important updates / fixes + that promised definitely substantial DLC.

Either way the more you wait the less buggy it's gonna be. I'm personally yet to try this one out. I think I will still wait a bit before buying it on sale. I have plenty of games to play in my back log so there is very little need to rush for this as much as I miss 'Deus Ex: MEN kind Revolution' world.

According to Amatangelo, the previous patch update laid "the groundwork for future stuff," including massive overhauls for various gameplay systems. One of these key overhauls is revamping the Cop System alongside vehicle-to-vehicle combat, which should give layers "a whole new feel and dimension and immersion to the city."
In addition to overhauls to the cop system and vehicle-to-vehicle combat, Amatangelo also mentioned changes to MaxTac which should accompany the Cop System overhaul. Likewise, the developer plans a new gameplay loop for melee combat with further actions for the perk tree.
Beyond this, there are planned additions to the Cyberware mechanic, which weren't explained in full detail. Considering the Cyberpunk 2077 version 1.5 patch update addressed various bug issues while enhancing the Cyberware feature, more slots could be made available, including new items for players to acquire. |
that + not being limited by last gen consoles anymore sounds about justification enough.. after having waited for so long i really dont mind to wait a bit longer...

Why didn't Terraria get it... |
Because the anime aired almost at the end of the year + CDP made some fixes and update with Edgerunners related stuff. Not even because the game was patches much. Also it happened just 3 months ago and people have the memory longevity of a firefly.

Come on, be fair. They almost patched their game to how it should have been over 2 years ago.

To achieve what the game should have been at launch the world would have had to be filled with meaningful content like The Witcher 3, more qualitative side quests (not just 2 or 3), a working faction system, improved AI capable of car chases, a proper police AI
and much more
We inched maybe 5% closer to that and are now at.. 65% or so
Cyberpunk 2077 will never be the game it was supposed to be

Redeemed in my eyes would be the lifepaths providing big changes in what your playthrough is like, rather than being nice deco. This was my ultimate disappointment with the game and I played it a lot regardless but it was a big downer to realise it meant shit all.

I just got around to playing the first heist (pretty much used the game as a benchmarking tool up until now) and shit and wow, what the fuck. That was something else.
Luckily it wasnt spoilered to me somehow. I wonder if they can keep up the writing. (Don't tell me)
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
