So good. I just love the 40k universe. Playing inquisitor martyr now and it's pretty fun. Mindless, but fun. The story and characters are certainly more complex than regular arpg's though

Agreed about Inquisitor Martyr. Picked it up on sale recently and really enjoying it. I like pretty much all of the classes, too.

Went crusader with a shotgun. I wamted to go melee, but its relatively bad. No punch to the attacks and very limited aoe range. Tried shotgun and never looked back

Game looks great, has great soundtrack and W40K feel.

Music is fucking incredible.

Gameplay is just X-Com meets Warhammer. I dig it.

UI is ok, didn't understand what some of the shit did and there's no tooltips from mouse over but whatever, it's alpha.

Blood and gore is all there.

Performance, ya they got a a ways to go. 5900x/6900XT on high I'm only getting between 60-70fps (3440x1440p)

And good lord is there a lot of reading. I thought Divinity 2 was a lot. Felt like I was reading for 10 minutes of dialog before I got to do anything.

ya the first fight they send you into is against like a 15 dude ambush from a local gang so it's pretty intense and you get a real good sense of being bad asses. So much gibs and blood. They certainly didn't hold back lol

Pretty good for an alpha!

Runs between 90 - 110FPS @ 1440p. Loads very quickly and the turn based combat isn't a drag with long wait times between turns.

I don't actually think this is the start of the game.

One of the early access "reviews" mentioned that the alpha starts in Chapter 2.

Maybe it's locked behind an online login? I have no idea.
However the beta is a beta and therefore missing a lot of content so it's not a huge loss. I'd rather wait for the full and then the enhanced edition. I've yet to play WoTR.
