I am still on a standby to see by what I could replace my shitty 3080 ...
I'm in the same boat, waiting to see what replaces my shitty [subjective by need] 6800xt.
Not that its bad card by any means, but waiting for tech to catch up to run solid fps, no tweaking needed, for 4896 x 2448 120hz VR in games like MSFS and racing sims.
So waiting to see what the 7x00 AMD makes offers for performance over mine vs cost. If it cant do it, I will use it for the bit of better it is at it, while I wait for the next gen cards after it to see if they can

Anyone with 3060Ti had problems with gpu? Like failing to run 3d or even install drivers?
Apparently, 3060Ti's with Hynix memory chips p/n H56G32CS4DX 005 mf date late 2021 have defective memory.
The only reports in english are some shady websites like https://inf.news/en/digital/0fa72d7f3ca03cee8eccaca2d2670a00.html
But russkies websites are reporting this more often.
I was playing A Plague Tale Requiem today. Average of about 105FPS maxed out, 1440p (low of 85, max of ~140).
Looks amazing, super smooth.
A 4090 at the same resolution brings around 40FPS more, but the lows are the same (for example, when something goes up in flames)
I haven't touched my PC for gaming since maybe August, I was expecting it to be a shit show in Requiem. I think the 30XX series has a few more years life in it yet
Nothing new, was expected to be. Just a name change and done deal, doesnt change the fact that the ship they use is normally a xx60 series. Pricetag is suspected to be 899$ without tax so in germany you can expect 1100€ for cheapest customs. There wont be any FE iirc !
@escalibur
Everyone does that every release and says the same thing each time
Not sure why people expect more, Every time 25-30% increase is rough average real world gain of first flagship release vs last gen flagships current performance (after driver had time to mature to current state) averaged across the board of game results.
Ive never updated from one gen to the next that gave 50%+ gains in real usable game experience despite what the maker says it does.
AMD/NVidia says '60-100%' more gain, early release testers get less, some youtubers excited about it cherry pick games that either show huge gains, or smaller gains depending on the conclusion they want to show.
Anything outside that is a pleasant surprise, not the other way around.

Hoping on the 13th I can snatch a 7900xtx before they sell out, if they do.
Then my new build should be good for the next 2-3 years before I need (wel desire to..not need) to replace it.

Dunno but the pricedifference of 300$ for MSRP is still a win with performance on par to the 4080. Thats a quarter less money compared to the 4080 for the same Rasterpower, 899$ vs 1199$.

not sure if these are genuine though breaking the embargo and all
I always take them with a grain of salt. Even if legit seems optimistic?
As I said I never went from one gen to next gen on (roughly) equal of each tier and got 200% gains. Like his 7900xtx vs 6900xt (My 6800xt is clocked and volt'd to get nearly 6900xt framerates) is the one I focused on since its relevant to me. Every game getting nearly 2x the FPS. Maybe, but if so that's WAY more than I've gotten in a single gen jump, since my riva tnt2 days.
A bit sus, since his results are even better than AMD's own released gains chart. I dont see them missing out on stating bigger numbers in their own press releases.
Next thing I find odd, and it might just be lack of knowledge of who it is behind it. A guy with 12k subs has gotten the whole range of cards of the 4x00 series (from his earlier videos on it) and the 7x00 series, before release in both cases to post benchmarks? Along with what looks like every CPU sku of every recent release the same way. Maybe it's a larger channel using a cover account to skit embargo. But still odd..
But I could be wrong, will find out by the end of next week hopefully, if I can snatch one before they are all gone.
