My most anticipated game of this year In terms of mechanics, well, they basically were doing tutorial stuff in those previews. The game is 60h long, and it's gameplay from the first few hours, on Normal difficulty. Anyway, I can't fucking wait
Since they say fiscal year, it's not coming out till March. I am kind of glad as there are some other games coming out over the next few months starting with Spider-Man next week that are going to eat up a lot of people's time.
I wonder if the delay also means they will have all the DLC done for release and release them much faster than they originally planned.
Wasn't this delayed to 2023?
If so, it seems like it got undelayed, which is a first!
Not sure having the release date on the same day as The Callisto Protocol is a good idea though!

It is still a 2 month delay from the last announced release date which was October 7.
Script / character lines written by incredibly bored preschoolers.
You mean classic mainstream comic book dialogue

Most reviews I have seen agree on one thing the dialogue and relationships are written by eight year old.

If there's a difference in tone, it's that you're never in fear of falling fatally behind the power curve - since here, the challenge is automatically adjusted to match the level of your heroes on the field. By subtracting the thrilling terror of XCOM, Firaxis has found room for a new warmth and approachability.

Which is fitting for a game fundamentally about friendship.
I had a chance to review it. TLDR: if you like Marvel and tactical games, you will be delighted. And yes, the game can be very challenging - it's entirely up to the player how difficult it's going to be thanks to great difficulty scaling. From me: thumbs up. It's my favorite game of 2022 so far.
Honestly, between the many fundamentally broken aberrations, the byproducts of corporate greed, superhero-based tripe and the rather overrated console ports, there hasn't really been much for me this year. If it weren't for Elden Ring which I absolutely loved despite its sins, things would have been pretty flatline-like.
Replaying the classics has been a blast though, and there have been some pleasant indies as per usual.
Jake Solomon, the director of Marvel’s Midnight Suns and the XCOM franchise, is leaving Firaxis after more than two decades. In addition, studio head Steve Martin will also be leaving the company after 25 years, publisher 2K announced on Friday. He will be replaced by chief operating officer, Heather Hazen. The departures follows the disappointing launch of Marvel’s Midnight Suns.

make cringe trash story with marvel brand slapped on it with not as near as good of a combat system as xcom 2 and then wonder why. (some of you might like the combat better dunno but cardbased combat is meh)
