I hope so too, it's amazing, fuck HDR, 120Hz, 4K it has nothing on 3D imo... Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness 3D got a full score on everything on "To 3D or not to 3D"..

anyone have a link to the 3D trailer for this or is it only available in the theatres so far?

The only thing that will return is Avater sex fetishes with people painting themselves into alien blue cat people.

Also is "family" some new trend in hollywood? Star Wars, Star Trek, Fast and Furious, it's all about family.

Sounds like you watched the wrong Avatar. I bet it was called Assatar or something similarly imaginative Wink

I worked with an LGBT coworker 20+ years ago and was told that "family" was another term/phrasing for that preference. It might stem from that?

She was actually a cutey, too. I was young and had a crush on her, which is when I found out about her preference haha.

Nono, they learn to use the sea creatures as avatars themselves and then transfer to the sealife.

Avatar was filmed in digital 1080p24. There is no point of upscaling it to 4K.

That's basically the reasons people loves James Cameron Avatar franchises:

There is nothing special plot wise.. but there are great effects, Hype and in the West, people loves movies that criticize human society.

I'm getting strong uWu vibes from that trailer:
Do you like lord of the rings, and uWu amine looks? We made a movie for you Avatar 2!

I couldnt watch it as a movie, thier faces and eyes disturb me. Feel like I'd need to be wearing cat ear headphones while in theater.

it's like a month left, no word (from what i've seen) if it's 3D, if it's new 3D tech, if it's really 3D without glasses that he talked about (that it wouldn't be released until this was possible).

AFAIK it's the regular 3D IMAX and Real3D where applicable. Some theaters will project it with HFR as well (which is the intended Cameron's Way Of Viewing™)

Am I the only one who didn't find Avatar all that good? It was a ~6/10 for me and I'm not hyped for the sequel at all. :/

That was pretty much the consensus at the time, no? Dances with Wolves, but with Smurfs Laughing a 6/10 movie elevated because of its CGI.

@jackbomb: good to know, thx

I've seen the original two times, first time for me it was a 6/10. Then i watched it on 3D on my 124" projector screen, i'd say the experience was at least 8.5/10 but the movie itself is more like a 6/10, it's good because it's quite a fun ride and with good pacing too. It's a rather ridiculous or over-the-top movie, like an odd mix of 1986 Aliens and Disney Very Happy

I watched it in 3D, which I hated, so it was the first and last 3D movie I've seen. The movie itself wasn't anything special either, but enjoyable for what it was.

I'd not rate the first movie any higher than 6 myself as the plot seemed very unoriginal.
