And yes good idea to lose some fat, you'll feel a lot better, physically, mentally - everything is always easier then, even addiction.

Thanks for the kind words people.
An update, I am still without booze, but I am still drinking Radler O.o%
Yesterday I had a discount package delivered:

 Spoiler:

This stuff is not completely without alcohol I suspect.
It claims O.o% alcohol free, so theoretically it may contain up to 0,04999... percent alcohol.
Next thing: Stop drinking Radler and losing weight, 50+ pounds or so.

Nice, keep up the good work

I'm 12 years sober. It can be done.

A continuous 12 years. No drugs including weed either. Works best for me.

I've yet to meet a heavy weed smoker who looks fresh and at his game. They all start to look zombies after years of smoking.

I do very clean coke once or twice a week, it helps me be focused on very work intensive nights. And i've yet to feel or notice any side effects after doing it years. I'm not saying something can show eventually, but saying how it is.

I drink booze only when there is some occasional party

Obviously doing anything in excess is bad whether it's alcohol, weed or anything really. Weed (THC) affects short term memory as well as numerable other things. Daily/heavy use will obviously impair you in a quite negative way. Weed addicts are psychologically addicted and can have serious issues coping with the daily life without it.

So yes, moderation is key. If you (not you personally) feel even the slightest hint that you crave it or want to keep doing it as often as possible it is a clear sign that you should stop immediately before it's too late. Unfortunately it tends to sneak up on people and people also tend to be in denial, esp. heavy drinkers.

I'm very lucky that way. I think I've only had weed once and alcohol twice this year. It depends on my social life, not craving.

It just means you get another opportunity to get it right.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

@Frant
Same, I think I have drank 4-5 times so far this year, and that was social drinking because I was at a bar and people offered, usually I get a soda at the bar. I go to the bar for the loose social aspect of: Kinda know you people enough to have bar discussions and chat but not enough to hang out, outside of here, type social.. Laughing

I think I won (or lost depending on your perspective) the 'enjoys stimulants' personality lottery. So far of all the drugs I have tried, I still dont like the way any of them make me feel, and don't make me want or seek to do it even casually.

Coke, weed, xtc, molly, alcohol, acid, shrooms...all was a "well dont feel a want to do that actively" after experiencing it. All are a at best 'fuck it why not' if offered and I happen to be in the mood and situation to want to experience it for a short time. But thats rare.
I DO smoke cigs, and caffeine. But they dont 'do' anything for me and are more a habit than anything (caffeine only because I like some sodas and love tea, and both taste 'off' when its removed). Like I dont 'want' a cigarette after eating. But I feel like I'm not doing something I need to if I dont.

You got this man. Its hard, I know. But long as you dont give up no many how many times you fall down, you can't fail unless you just dont get back up.

You are very observant. If I get too drunk, the quality of the posts will also suffer.
