Nixxes recently posted a job listing looking for a UX/UI engineer with experience in using the Coherent middleware.
So far the only PS game that uses Coherent is Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

cool, ill take ratchet and clank over tsushima any day... i still dont get what ppl found so special about that game.. it was okay, but nothing more in my book
also i hope horizon will be announced soon

between never coming to pc vs 2-3 years wait its ok. they dont upset the console people and still gain pc market
"game fans" will probably already played it on ps on release, these should be the people that dont care on which platform it is

Sony treatment for PC games is similar to what Microsoft did years ago when they focused on Xbox and PC basically got letovers.. they table did turn tough, as the Xbox is in decline and PC is doing better han all consoles.

that famitsu interview is fascinating ,
Notice how he worded it as "the timeframe what our fans can live with " and not as "timeframe we will plan to strictly follow".
And looking at current PS5-to-PC ports , only one of them released in that timeframe
- Returnal -> 30. Apr 2021 (ps5) , 15, Feb 2023 (pc) => 1 year, 9 months, 16 days
- SpiderMiles-> 12. Nov 2020 (ps5) ,Nov 18, 2022 (pc) => 2 years, 6 days
- TLOU1 remake -> , 2. Sep 2022 (ps5), Mar 28, 2023 (pc) => 6 months, 26 days
- UNCHARTED 4+LL -> 28 Jan 2022 (ps5) , 19 Oct, 2022 (pc) => 8 months, 21 days

As long as the ports are in good shape. I'm cool with 2-3 years.
Releasing bunch of shit ports no bueno and can fuck right off. 
Still probably going to buy them ports day 1. 
Reminds me now that TLOU1 is somehow patched time to play it.

Rift Apart is probably problematic because it was one of their showcase games for "our SSD tech is a generation ahead of anything else, especially PCs"
just to end up running the game just fine on Sata SSDs on PC?

There is basically no such thing truely "spaicel" for consoles when it comes to hardware powerwise.. anything consoles offer hardwere you can basically always custome build yourself even better via PC, there is stupidity complex tough, like Sony did with PS3.
The only thing that truely spaicel is consoles being closed system and them having special "features" that not really contributor to their hardware power, just to ensure the console being closed system as much as possible.
I fully agree there is less chance for Rift Apart for PC than other first party stuffs, but it's not impossible.
