Well the 360 version has an amazing mechanic, whereby you don't even need the status bars because you can tell who's winning just by the visual condition of the fighters. This is of course a product of the sublime graphics and high definition. In my opinion it's worth getting just for that.

I'd started a career in this playing as Roy Jones jnr, its kind of easy now from having played a substancial amount of the game to see why some of the sites were critical of the career mode - one reviewer said that in 75 fights/wins he only got knocked down twice.
I would agree, the majority of my fights in common with FN Round 2 have been less than 4 rounds. My first "rival fight" got stopped in the first round following a headbutt and several elbows from him I unleashed a stream of combos totalling a mere 61 punches ( of which 48 landed) enough for the ref to stop the fight even though the guy wasn't even bleeding?? I've fought Ali, Frazier and Paterson and whooped their asses and the only guys that I have problems with are the ones that jig around the ring and always lean away from you making it hard to clip them with anything but body punches and easy to punch yourself out.
Don't get me wrong its a nice game, just the feeling that you can start a career and quickly pick up on the changes between this and FN Round 2, adjust to them and easily box your way to completion is a slight letdown.

anybody suffering with b/w output when in ntsc mode. there is a way if you use unleash dashboard.
Use the enigmah selector to switch your machine to ntsc.then using unleashx dashboard. goto video settings, & force the output to pal. then boot the game.this has the effect that the game loads ok as the eeprom is set to ntsc mode but unleash swaps the output back to pal again.
works ok on my upstairs tv which doesnt even have scart ,only composite inputs.

I dont like it as much as FN2
Its seems all stiff and slow.
Give me a hilarious highspeed brawl over this anyday
Its typical EA cashing in on a license thats obviously developed for 360.
Stick with FN2 and break some more controllers!

works for me too. I do like it, but it is slower than last years. But it is more satisfying to land a haymaker or a stun punch as last year, the haymakers were too easy and fights were over in 2 minutes
