From the leaked footage a few months ago it can look as good as it wants, it will be a hilariously bad over the top racer that tries to be Burnout but fails miserably, Criterion should've stayed with the Burnout series, they're not fit for NFS.

Having played NFS Heat past days because it was super cheap on Steam then good god if they will keep the driving mechanics then it is a hard pass. The driving in a driving game is super awful...

The last really good NFS game was NFSU. Barely any NFS game (or any racing game for that matter) has a good feeling of progression or customisation anymore.

Not too different from Heat, it was also full of latino gangsta "artwork" and music, this is just updated to include Gen Z aesthetics. Heat has good driving mechanics tho.

Got to be a troll. HEAT has one of the worst driving ever. Compared to lets say Forza Horizon another arcade racer then its like day and night.
