NOPE 6/10
Definitely Peele's weakest so far.
Doesn't mean it's bad though.

Nope - 3.5/10
Could have done a lot of more interesting things with it but ultimately Peele shows he just wants to do quirky for the sake of quirky. Logic flies out the window for the sake of some vague allegories. Us was the same and the lesser said about the abysmal Twilight Zone series, the better. Get Out is the only decent thing we're going to get from him.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

TG Maverick: 8/10. Would've been .5 higher if they removed OR extended the side plots with Penny as they didn't add much as-is. Very nice for the rest, it looked awesome. Planes were great.
PC: Yes. Console: No.

Nope
6/10
Did not really what to expect with Jordan Peele movies and it was a strange one. Not bad, not that great either.

Samaritan: 6/10. Decent with a nice plot twist, but the rest didn't have too much (story).
A Bridtsh Too Far: 7.25/10. Again struggling a bit with the score. Watched this nearly 20 years ago at school on a crappy CRT and didn't remember too much of it. It's too long, but at the same time the ending was unfinished. The war shots were fantastic, but the "cannon fodder" acted very badly. It was transfered OK from film to bluray, but could do with a proper remaster.
PC: Yes. Console: No.

Nope 7/10
Not what I expected it was about, but I enjoyed it. It's more straightforward than Us, which I thought was a pretentious piece of shit
Too bad it didn't really know what it wanted to be, and it left some important (????) plot elements hanging without any explanation; a lot of attention went to the shoe in its unnatural position, & there were several hints that the 'alien' is able to control animals.
Last Action Hero 7/10
Always liked this one, it's still fun. The kid is kind of annoying, but not as bad as in some other movies/tv shows
A Fistful of Dollars 8.5/10
For a Few Dollars More 8/10
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 9.5/10
RLM inspired me to watch the trilogy again The remastered editions are fantastic. They're all awesome movies, but the 3rd one is of another level, like the culmination of what they learned while making the previous 2.
Willow 6.5/10
I wish I could give it a higher score, but it was better in my memory It's quite slow and very cheesy. Some visual effects are still good, the puppets and miniatures, and the famous morphing scene holds up too. Stop motion and blue screen is pretty bad though
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly will always have a special place in my heart, with the hilarious relationship between Tuco and Blondie that carries the movie and makes it memorable. Then all the various solemn shots along with the iconic music, Sentenza's eerie presence and simple (yet not simplistic) writing do the rest, it's peak Spaghetti with all that it entails.
I like the previous two stories as well of course (especially For A Few Dollars More where Lee Van Cleef absolutely shines), though to me they never felt as cohesive or strong cinematography-wise.
Girl, Interrupted - 7/10
A chance to see Winona's signature crazy stare being put to good use, though to be fair the true star here is Angelina. She's terrific as a deranged young sociopath and the way she plays with all the other patients' emotions, it's a rather sad story which however has its moments of charm and hope.
Threads - 8 Roentgen/10
Speaking of charm and hope , if you want to directly gaze into the abyss for nearly two hours, this movie is the right choice. One of the bleakest portrayals of the apocalypse and unfortunately, it's a subject that's very much cyka relevant these days as well. It's relatively low-budget as it was made for television (BBC) but it's shot and edited in a way that comes off as authentic, almost documentary-like. The acting is believable and overall, it just doesn't pull any punches. Far more effective to me than any silly conventional horror movie out there, roughly on the same level as Come and See and the likes. I'll never watch it ever again

Basic Instinct - 7,5/10
I watched the movie when I was a kid and naturally, I only remembered the collection of boobies 'n cooches along with that scene , but there is actually a rather solid thriller beneath the sensual Verhoevenisms. Good ol' Michael Douglas delivers a very believable performance and Stone with her magnetic presence is absolutely perfect for the role. Then the mystery and the great direction do the rest, with some 90s(tm) moments in between.
A History of Violence - 8/10
One of Cronenberg's best, a little classic that was a pleasure to revisit. Simple but satisfying story, the right amount of gore, rock-solid acting from Viggo and Ed, it ticks all the boxes. I actually enjoyed it more than Estern blyat Promises, though that's nicely crafted, too.
