Jurassic World: Dominion (2022) 4/10

I mean what the hell was that? Laughing
The first movie was stupid albeit enjoyable enough and the second one was way more stupid, but I still could finish it.
This one was just retarded and they could have easily removed the dinosaurs from the movie and it wouldn't have changed a thing.
Few points for the visuals though, they did look good. Acting wise this was also kind of subpar.

Surprisingly, it has only one scene (ignoring the end credits, obviously Laughing )

And it's a dance battle between the 2 protagonists against a snotty Brit. I found it pretty cool too, actually Laughing The physical skills of the 2 dudes are amazing.

Thor: Love & Thunder (2022) 5/10

I knew it was more of a "comedy" than an action movie, but the amount of jokes is too much and most of them didn't land for me...I mean it's like they tried too much. Even Ragnarok was on the edge in terms of jokes that landed.
Best part basically was Christian Bale who was good in his role.
Oh and another minus point for the kids, the scene towards the end was horrendous.

I should really watch an actual good movie soon, been watching crap for too long. Laughing

Didn't do it for me. Felt forced and soulless, humourless too even, most of the time. Way too serious for a Toy Story spin-off.

Jurassic World 4/10
Same remarks: forced, soulless, humourless. But also very stupid Laughing

How many dancing scenes are there in the movie? I really REALLY can't handle that shit. Laughing
I know it's a culture thing so I'm not looking down on it or anything, it just feels so extremely corny to me.

Not a cultural thing but those dancing scenes are an old holdover from the time companies wanted to push sales for selling the soundtrack separately. Some also wanted to have their cake and eat it too by adding in aspects of musicals. Laughing I think people who enjoy musicals have more tolerance for the random songs that pop up in the older films. The newer films either have very few or completely eliminated them.

Check these films out:
The Lunchbox
Udaan
Chak De India

1 and 2 are still amazing.

The Lord of the Rings Extended Edition Trilogy Season Pass Deluxe - 8/10

After about 20 years it was time for another long walk through the Sauronlands. I remembered little besides the main story and all the various memes, so it was the perfect opportunity to revisit everything with adult eyes and thankfully, the precious was still worthy.

I'd be a lying tricksy hobbit if I said that I enjoyed all the scenes (some pseudo-cheese here and there, improbable actiony bits even for the genre and the intense omnipresent Friendship is Magic(tm) effect of Frodoian plot armour) but overall, the strong character development and the quality visuals/special effects that can stand the test of time like Aragorn both definitely contribute to making the trilogy a remarkable and charming magnum opus. It could have been better if the cast had featured Maori Elves, pansexual Papuan Dwarves and teenage issues, but hopefully the TV series will fix that.

Jurassic Dominion
3/10 for nice dinosaurs.

Otherwise complete rubbish and waste of time. So many continuity errors that would make Michael Bay proud.
The plot armor Dominon has should be sent to Ukrainian soldiers.

action was bland. amplified by decent SFX. but still bland.
acting was ok.
visually it was nice, plot was weak.
really clumsy pacing and editing. you'd expect more from the talent involved.
jarring cuts that just don't fit. feels more like a high budget Paul ws Anderson movie. truly Netflix quality.
