They put it on steam because fans aked them to, they were angry why don't they get the good game when buying on steam and instead only on GOG.

I rather have the option to have both versions on Steam then not so I do not have a problem with it as the license holder can do what they want with the game but they probably should have just had it this way from the start as it does look more like a stopgap method while they try to fix the issues with the Enhanced edition.

This is one of those old games where you can lock urself out of progress pretty easily, at the start, i didnt find all the clues, including the video cam footage, so for some reason, when i reach a certain part where u have to be in ur apartment to look throught the footage to progress i couldnt do it, and for another reason, when you interrogate the guy at the chinatown restaurant, he doesnt run away either, maybe im missing something but, it seems rly easy to break progression in this game, just like old point and clickers like broken sword.
Game is great otherwise, but might drop it because i rly hate that kinda of stuff in these games.
